English Volunteer Teachers in Vietnam
There is a serious shortage of English teachers in high schools , colleges and universities . Many students have only had the chance to learn English from a local Vietnamese teacher , who is responsible for around 50 students . Volunteers from English speaking countries are needed to assit Vietnamese teachers to teach the students correct English pronunciation and conversational skills as it is considered a valuable asset . Please note that if you wish to volunteer during the school holidays in July and August you will be teaching English to 6-18 year olds as a part of the Children's Program .
In Vietnam , the English language is considered as a gateway to the students' future and a chance to escape poverty . Effective use of the English language will provide students with confidence and improve their future employment opprtunities .
Volunteers in the Teaching program are not required to be a qualified teacher or have any previous teaching experience All we ask is that you give 100% effort and enthusiasm in your work with the students .
Write " T " before the sentence if it is true . Write " F" if the sentence is not true .
1. Volunteer teachers will help Vietnamese teachers to teach the students pronunciation and conversational skills

Living in a family of four, everyone has private space for work and hobbies. However, there is one thing I don’t like about living in a nuclear family is that I sometimes feel lonely when my parents go away for work. I live in an extended family with my grandparents, my parents, my brother and me. My family is big, so there is always a lot of fun. My brother and I receive full care from my parents as well as grandparents. My grandparents take care of us when my parents are busy at work, so we never feel lonely. Family Rules
Would you like to have a boss who didn't specify what the rules were in your work place but punished you if you broke these unknown rules? You would feel pretty frustrated, wouldn't you? That's how children feel when they are punished for breaking rules that have never been explained to them. Family rules are necessary to make clear what is expected of children and to outline punishments for misbehavior and rewards for good behavior.
When creating a list of family rules remember to be specific both in what is expected and the punishment or reward. Gather the family together when creating the list of family rules. Involve children in the creation of the rules and get their input as to appropriate rewards or punishments. Explain to children why youd like to include certain rules. They'll accept them more if they understand that they are for their own benefit and safety.
You can create the list of rules in the form of a contract which all family members sign. Before completing the contract make sure that all family members are in agreement as to the wording of the rules and the punishments or rewards for each rule.
Once the rules have been created, remember to be consistent with their enforcement. The list of rules doesn't mean anything unless it is consistently enforced.
