Among my friends, I cherish the most is Hong. She is a good student of my class, she lived with her mother in a small house near my house. She has short black hair, oval face and brown eyes. Topic 3: Tet is a traditional holiday of our country Vietnam.The season of Tet occurs around the biginning of February and end of Janaurỵ The meaning of Tet is ending old year and welcome a new year. Tet holiday is very special for Vietnamese families to reunite. At that time, all family members try to come back their homes and get together to prepare for Tet. Moreover they will buy new clothes and clean their house. A branch of Mai flower or a Kumquat tree can't be absent from every home. They bring a fresh atmosphere to the house. We decorate ancestral altar with a tray full of fruits and flowers.
Some typical Tet's food such as sweets, coconut jam, candied fruits, lemon seeds, rice cake , "thit kho"( stew pork with eggs). A special food can not absent is sticky rice cake.. It is our country's traditional food on Tet holiday. Tet meal is more dilicious than our every day.
On Tet holiday, people have many typical activities. Young persons takes part in the traditional games such as: tug; cooking rice, cock fighting, watching lion dance. Many people visit relatives to wish a happy new year. A dults will give lucky money for children. Woman like going to pagoda to wish good things will come to their familỵ

My mother is an important person in my life for many reasons. She is a strong woman, very intelligent, and has a great heart. First, my mother is a strong woman that always fights for what she wants. She believes that in life nothing comes easily. For example, she had to raise my brothers and I by herself due to the fact that my father was always traveling because of his type of work. She had a job, took care of us, and still found time to go to school.Next, I admire my mother because of her intelligence. She is a very smart and well educated woman. She loves to read, and she also writes a lot. For example, she keeps a journal where she writes a little bit about everything including politics, religion, food, and much more. She likes to keep her mind busy, and she also likes to be informed about things that happen in the world.Most important of all, she has a great heart. She is always trying to help everyone. For instance, every year she participates in voluntary events. She helps families to find jobs, collects food, books, and clothes for the poor. In addition, she is an amazing mother; a sweet and loving mother that is always here for us.In conclusion, for these reasons I think my mother is a great person, and she inspires me a lot because she is very strong, intelligent, and has a great heart.

There are many advantages to using the internet. First of all, Internet is a great mean of communication. Distance is no longer a matter of concern when we can send mails within a few seconds or make cheap internet phone call. We can also update ourselves with the latest news in the world with some simple mouse clicks. Internet can be used to send messages, also known as emails, to friends and family anywhere on the Earth. It can be used to keep in contact with friends or family who are currently overseas as there are many messenger services available on the internet. Another biggest advantage of the internet would be information. The internet is full of information about any topic we can think about, ranging from news to services or even movies. There are several search tools like google or yahoo that we can use for research about any topic that we want to find data on. Nowadays, even schools are making use of the internet by asking the students to do research or collect data from the internet. Entertainment is also one of the many advantages of the internet. With the internet, we will not feel bored anymore as there are countless games that can be free downloaded from the web. We can also use the internet to surf the web, enter chat rooms or even watch movies for free on the internet. Chat rooms have also helped people to find their lifelong partners.
Besides that, many services are also provided on the internet ranging from purchasing and booking tickets for movies, hotel reservations and restaurant booking in case you want to eat in a very crowded restaurant. Even with all these advantages, many people believe that someone who pays too much attention to online activities may become passive, sluggish in real life because of their lacks of communication, and physical activities. However, all of us also cannot doubt of their benefits.
In short, I completely believe that the internet is good for our life today and in the future. However, we should use it for right purposes in order to take advantages effectively.
