My secondary school is a place that bears all the hallmarks of my childhood memories. It is placed in the center of my district. Surrounded by a paddy-field, it enjoys lined- trees and colorful garden, which creates a wonderful view. Moreover, this school was designed with a large- scale plan. It is a 2 storied building of u shape with capacity of 1000 people and it was invested heavily in infrastructures with well- equipped classrooms. In a good environment, students are given many precious chances to discover and develop their inner talents. Besides modern facilities, this school is also well- known for enthusias and qualified teachers who are always dedicated and devoted themselves to teaching career. In conclusion, studied in this school for four years, it has become an indispensable part in my life.

My high school is located in a small village of a countryside; therefore it is not very big and modern. There are only about one thousand students from grade ten to twelve studying in 16 classrooms, and we have go to school at different hours in a day so there will be enough rooms. Around the school is an empty grass field which will soon be projected as a part of our school, and we hope our little sisters and brothers can have a bigger and more comfortable school to study. The gate is very old and rusty, but it can still keep the students from running outside of the school during break time. Next to the gateway is the parking lot where we park all of our bikes. There are many trees and flowers which have been planted through many generations of students, and today we still keep on planting more of them to have a greener space. Those trees bring a lot of shades to us, which also provide us an ideal playground on break time and after school. There is a small soccer field in the corner, and most of the time the boys have to fight in order to play on it. We do not have a room specialized for studying sports, so we spend our Physical education class right on the school yard. The walls are painted in a light yellow color, but some parts of them had become flaked off due to the impact of time. Despite being old, my school is always clean and tidy thanks to the effort of both students and teachers. We try our best to keep the school as a healthy and friendly environment for everyone. It is not the best school someone can find, but it is still the beloved place for many generations of students include me.

My hobby is drawing, I love to draw. When I was a kid, I loved playing with color pencil and oil pastel. Now I am a high school student and I am still trying to draw better. I hope that I will be an artist in the future. My parents are really supportive and they always inspire me to draw. My father buys me drawing pencils and papers. In my free time, I don’t watch TV, I draw. I think that helps me to become creative. Drawing is my passion. The most beautiful scene for me is the sunset on the beach.

Some people believe that children should spend all of their free time with their families. Others believe that this is unnecessary or even negative. Discuss the possible arguments on both sides, and say which side you personally support.

Nobody can deny that parental influence is important for children, at least in cases where children live with their parents, foster parents or guardians. However, it is by no means clear that children should spend exclusively in the family, as we will see.

On the one hand, it may appear advisable for parents to act as role models and establish ground rules for behaviour by spending as much time as possible with their children. This allows the youngers follow themselves, hopefully leading to an absence of problems such as bullying, truancy and deliquency later on. Furthermore, being with the family should reduce the risk of children falling victim to crimes such as abduction, or coming under the influence of negative peer pressure.

On the other hand, we have to ask whether this is a practical proposition. In a society where many families are dual-income, or where one parents’s role as breadwinner means he/she is away from the family for long periods, it is inevitable that children cannot spend all of their time with the family. Child-minding and after-school childcare are often used in these cases, and if managed properly, these can be perfectly viable alternatives. Equally, it seems that children can in some cases learn a considerable amount from their peers in addition to adults, and allowing them to play without direct supervision may be a benefit.

To conclude, it appears that while family time is essential for bonding and absorbing patterns of behaviour, there are definite advantages when children are outside the family too. This is provided that (only if) they are in a safe, well-behaved environment with peers who are themselves reasonably well brought-up.

My hobby I like the most is listening to music. I started listening many kinds of music when I was very little.

When you join a game or practise with your teammates, you will learn how to interact with other people as well as promote your teamwork spirit and game strategies. In conclusion, I really have a great interest in playing sports and I strongly believe that it is a cure for both our physical and mental problems.

                                     THE SCHOOL LIBRARY

A library is a collection of books. But it is not a book-shop, for it does not sell books. It is a temple of learning. In the past, people had to go to a teacher to learn from him. But how easy and cheap it is to get knowledge and wisdom today!

Today you can find libraries almost everywhere. These libraries are of two kinds – private and public. A private or personal library has books of the choice of only one person. So, it is not useful to all. But public libraries are meant for all. They have books to suit different tastes. Our schools and colleges, too, have libraries of their own. Such libraries are meant for students and teachers only. So, they have a wide variety of books.

A library is, therefore, a sacred place. You must have respect for this sacred place. It is not a fit place for talks or discussions. It is a place for serious studies. But one thing should never be forgotten. No library by itself has ever produced a Newton or a Tulsidas. A library can help you to some extent. But it cannot carry you very far. It cannot make you a poet or a scientist or a thinker if you do not study the great “Book of Life and Nature”. A great thinker thinks for himself. He does not see with the eyes of others.

Great books or great writers can only open your eyes. But they cannot see for you. You have to see things for yourself. If you only copy others you can be a scholar, but not a great thinker. A library very often makes you a book-worm. So, you have sometimes to come out of the library and move about a bee. Then and then alone can you give honey to the world.
