In the modern life, there is an increase in the people leave the countryside and migrate to the city. The objective reason is that in the city, it brings them comfortable life and favorite job. Subjective causes are due to the following disadvantages rural areas bring about push residents away. To begin with, there is no denial that rural infrastructure is not modern and advanced. Roads are quite narrow and degraded. Schools, hospitals are not cared much and remodeled. Especially the quality teachers and doctors here are just little so the inhabitants have less opportunity to develop in all way than in the urban area. Last but not least, the biggest disadvantage in rural areas is that job opportunities are so race. The main job is craft, farming, which bring a relatively small income. With that salary, we can only live through the day, not afford for services, shopping, entertainment… In conclusion, besides the positive aspects, life in the countryside is very much. disadvantage. We all need to consider carefully before choosing where to live.

The village has always been known to be a place of peace and quiet. The scattered houses among hundreds of plants and trees at once indicate the lack of activity in the village.

The workers in the village leave their homes early in the morning to work in the plantations or towns nearby. Some have their own plantations, and some make certain arles in their homes to sell them in the towns. A few of the villagers, including women, go out to catch fish in the streams and rivers found in the village. Though the people of the village do not usually earn much, yet they seem to be contented.

In the afternoon, most of the villagers are at home. Some of them take a nap after lunch; some work in their small gardens, and some visit the small shops in the village. In various parts of the village children may be seen playing the popular games of the village. Occasionally, a cyclist passes by.

Then, in the evening, the villagers meet one another. Some play cards and other types of games peculiar to the village. Some talk about the day's incidents in the village, and those whose minds go beyond the village discuss world events.

In almost every village there is a headman whose duty is to settle quarrels among the villagers and maintain peace in the village. Whenever there is a dispute, the villagers go to the headman who is held in such esteem that his word has the force or law. In this way the villagers have developed their own simple laws, and the crimes of cities are almost unknown to the people of the village.

During a festival, the whole village is alive with activities. Everyone is in a happy mood and plays his part to make the festival a success. This is the time for the men, women and children of the village to wear their best clothes and the village is full of colour. These simple ways of life in the village, however, must soon change. Progress in science and education has already begun to affect the outlook of the people in the village, and hundreds are leaving the village to seek their fortunes in the towns and cities.

Tiến bộ trong khoa học và giáo dục đã bắt đầu ảnh hưởng đến triển vọng của người dân trong làng, và hàng trăm người đang rời làng để tìm kiếm vận mệnh của họ ở các thị trấn và thành phố.

Nowadays, numberous people move from countryside to city in order to look for better education and employment opportunities. Despite the fact that there are several pros of living in the city, its cons still exit. One serious problem is the higher of cost living in the city, people typically think of when considering moving to a city. The prices of the commdities are also higher due to the large concentration of people and huge demand. For existance, food, drinks,tobacco,products and gasoline are more expensive in major cities. Another cons of this problem that city inhabitants have encounter is traffic congestion. The street in a big city are often packed with numberous vehicles cars, taxis,buses and motorbikes. As a result, people often get struck in traffic jams for long hours. And cities have more traffic that contribute to the noise, as well as trains and nearby airports with loud planes flying in and out. Additionally, city life is now spoiled by pollution air,noise,soil and water pollution. Sanitation is often neglected. City are ly to be contaminated with exhaust fumes emitted from motor vehicles or with toxic gases which are discharged from the factories and industrial zones. As a consequence, city inhabitants may suffer from respiratory diseases lung cancer, tuberculosis or asthma if they breathe in those gases. To sum up, cons of living in the city causes many problems with people 's lives. Therefore, people should take actions to reduce the above problems.

There are a lot of disadvantages of living in a big city, but air pollution, traffic jam, and the high living standard are three main disadvantages. Firstly, air pollution is a big disadvantage that people living in big cities have to face. Big cities attract a lot of investments of inside and outside country, so the number of factories is increasing fast. This makes the air extremely polluted by smoke from factories, trucks, and motorbikes. As a result, more and more people get many serious diseases, such as lung cancer, tuberculosis and so on. Next is traffic jam. There are a lot of people and transportation in big cities, so traffic jam is an unavoidable problem. People can not go to work on time because they are always stuck for hours in rush hour. Besides, transport system which is stuck will cause a lot of serious problems. For example, ambulance and fire engine can not get in time to complete duty, so there is a big loss of humans and property. It also takes a lot of money of producers when their goods do not get in time. Lastly, the living standard in big cities is very high. Nowadays, the development of big cites is faster and faster, so these big cities become big economic centers of country. Because of that, public services such as health service, postal service, etc cost a lot. It will be difficult for the poor and workers to live in big cities because they have to pay too much for public services while their salary is too low. In conclusion, it is not easy to live in a big city.

Life in the city has long been a hankering for many people because of the benefits it brings. First, it provides us with many employment opportunities to increase income, feed ourselves and our families. There are a lot of kind of jobs from teachers, maketing, designers, ... which need a great human resource. Therefore, people feel easy to find a suitable job. In addition, the quality of life in cities is much better than in rural areas. The infrastructure is modern and there are full of services for the people. More and more entertainment centers, commercial centers, hospitals and schools are built. It means that people's health is better and their needs for entertainment are better. However, besides these positive aspects, the city still has some drawbacks. First of all, because of many factories, transportation and large population, the air here is very polluted, the road is full of smoke and dust, as a result it makes a bad effect on people's health. In addition, due to immigration, so many people rushed to the city so the cost of services and equipment is quite expensive. This is also the cause of a number of social evils such as theft, addiction, gambling, ... Today there are many large cities grow up, more and more people migrate in the city, but besides the positive aspects, the city still has limitations that no one wishes. Suốt ba ngày, em được dì Phượng cho đi mấy vòng khắp thị xã. Đi đến chỗ nào, em cũng đều thấy nhà cửa san sát nhau chạy dọc theo các đường phố. Nhà cao tầng là phổ biến, và hầu như nhà nào cũng là những cửa hàng, cửa hiệu, bày bán đủ các loại mặt hàng. Chỗ thì ghi "Cửa hàng tạp hóa", chỗ thì ghi "Cửa hàng vải sợi", "Kim khí điện máy", "Tiệm giày da", "Quần áo may sẵn" v.v... Đường xá thì đều rải nhựa hết kể cả mấy con hẻm cũng tráng nhựa láng bóng. Buổi tối đi ra đường, em mới thấy cảnh tấp nập đông vui. Người và xe cộ ngược xuôi như mắc cửi. Đèn điện sáng trưng hai bên đường. Em thích nhất là được dì cho đi chơi ở công viên trung tâm của thị xã. Ngồi trên những ghế đá, ngắm nhìn những vòi nước phun lên qua ánh đèn tạo thành những sắc cầu vồng thật là đẹp. Đấy, thị xã trong mắt em là thế. Và em cũng chỉ biết có vậy thôi, nó khác thật nhiều so với vùng quê của em.
