PARAGRAPH ON AIR POLLUTION 1

Humans are today exposed to air pollution of all kinds, and affected by the harmful effects of the pollutants in the air they breathe. There are many causes of air pollution. One of the causes is vehicular traffic. Smoke generated by factories is also let out into the air. The burning of fossil fuels like coal also leads to harmful smoke.

The high levels of air pollution cause respiratory and cardiac problems, and affect other parts of the human body. It also causes other diseases like cancer. Millions of people around the world die each year due to air pollution.

PARAGRAPH ON AIR POLLUTION 2

All terrestrial life forms need air to breathe. We breathe in oxygen from the air and breathe out carbon dioxide. Air pollution is the phenomenon of harmful compounds in the form of gases and fine particles being let into the air thus polluting it.

Humans suffer from various respiratory and cardiac conditions due to air pollution. Air pollution also causes various diseases, including cancer, affecting other organs of the body.

Vehicular traffic is one of the causes of air pollution. The combustion of the automobile fuel, whether it is diesel or petrol, that powers a vehicle, leads to the release of poisonous gases released through the exhaust of the vehicle. In factories too when production processes are carried out, smoke is generated that is then released into the air leading to pollution. Smoke is also caused due to the burning of fuels like coal. Construction activity also causes air pollution.

PARAGRAPH ON AIR POLLUTION 3

Humans are today exposed to air pollution of all kinds. They are thus affected by the harmful effects of pollutants in the air they breathe. There are many causes of air pollution. One of the major causes of air pollution is vehicular traffic. Cars, buses, trucks, motorbikes, scooters and rickshaws are run on fuel. Automobile fuel combustion leads to the exhaust of poisonous compounds that include noxious gases as also particulate matter. The harmful gases that are part of exhaust fumes include hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and sulfur dioxide.

Factories also contribute to air pollution. The poisonous smoke and fumes generated by factories are released into the air thus polluting the air.

Similarly, the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, as also the burning of wood for cooking, and of farm wastes lead to harmful smoke polluting the air. The burning of garbage also creates harmful smoke.

Pollution of the air affects the air that humans and all other life forms breathe. People around the world are suffering from respiratory and cardiac problems, and diseases such as cancer affecting other organs of the body too. Millions of people die each year around the world due to air pollution.

PARAGRAPH ON AIR POLLUTION 4

Air pollution refers to the phenomenon of harmful compounds in the form of gases and fine particles being released into the air thus polluting it. If the air is polluted we cannot breathe fresh and clean air. This affects the lives of humans and all other life forms adversely. Humans suffer from various respiratory and cardiac conditions due to air pollution. Air pollution also causes diseases affecting other organs of the body. It also causes cancer. Millions of people around the world die to air pollution-related diseases each year.

Air pollution is caused by a number of factors. Vehicular traffic is one of the causes of air pollution. When vehicles ply on the roads, the combustion of the automobile fuel, whether it is diesel or petrol, leads to the creation of poisonous gases that are released through the exhausts of the vehicles. These gases, in the form of smoke and fumes, pollute the air severely. Various alternative fuels such as compressed natural gas as automobile fuel are being used now-a-days. Battery operated vehicles are also being run.

Factories also contribute to air pollution in a big way. When various production processes are carried out in factories, they release smoke and fumes. These are then released into the air. We see black smoke emanating from chimneys or exhaust towers of factories.

Smoke is also caused due to the burning of fossil fuels like coal. The burning of farm wastes and other garbage, as also construction activity also lead to air pollution.

PARAGRAPH ON AIR POLLUTION 5

Humans are today exposed to air pollution of all kinds. They are thus affected by the harmful effects of pollutants in the air they breathe. There are many causes of air pollution.

Vehicular exhausts cause air pollution

One of the major causes of air pollution is vehicular traffic. Vehicles of all kinds have multiplied across the country. Today traffic congestion on roads is very common. During peak and rush hours the traffic snarls are difficult to cope with for motorists and pedestrians. Commuting has therefore become difficult. Vehicles whether they are cars, buses, trucks, motorbikes, scooters or rickshaws are run on fuel. There is a process of fuel combustion that leads to the exhaust of poisonous compounds. It includes noxious gases and particulate matter. The harmful gases include hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and sulfur dioxide.

There are many causes of air pollution

Factories also contribute to air pollution. The smoke generated by factories is let out into the air thus polluting the air that we breathe. Similarly, the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, as also the burning of wood for cooking, and of farm wastes lead to harmful smoke. Production of electricity is also mostly through the process of burning non-renewable fossil fuels that leave dangerous smoke in the air. The burning of garbage also creates harmful smoke. Construction activity also creates particulate matter that pollutes air.

Air pollution affects us adversely

Today we are witnessing high levels of air pollution that affect the health of man and other creatures. People around the world are suffering from respiratory and cardiac problems, and various other diseases affecting other organs of the body. Air pollution also causes cancer. Millions of people around the world die each year due to air pollution.

The gases that cause air pollution are also greenhouse gases, and have caused global warming and climate change that affect the Earth and its ecology.

I think we should do many things to have the environment less pollution. Firstly, we should recycle more rubbish ( for example, glass, paper and plastic...). Secondly, we should give your old clothes to charity instead of throwing them away. Also, we should pick up rubbish in parks or in the street; or grow your own vegetables. Finally, we should save energy - turn off lights and TVs when we're not using them. For these reasons, the environment will be less pollution.

Nowadays, the development of human world causes causes many bad effects to the environment. We throw garbage everywhere, exploit too much natural resources or contaminate the air. Therefore, our environment is being seriously polluted and we need to protect it from now. First of all, we should reduce, reuse and recycle. Instead of using plastic bags, we can use leaves to wrap food. We can recycle plastic bottles, cans, paper to reduce garbage. Using public transports and decreasing the number of motorbikes and cars are also good ways to reduce carbonic in the air. Besides, we should purify contaminated lakes or rivers in order to lessen the pollution in the water.Last but not least, the gorvernment should propagandize about protecting the environment to everybody so that they can aware of it. Especially, we need to punish people who contaminate the environment with great severity. In conclusion, the Earth is our home so protecting it is everyone's responsibility.

Essay on Water Pollution – Essay 2 (250 Words)

Introduction:

The consumption of water forms a large part of our physical health. Aside from this obvious fact, water is an important aspect of our ecosystem. However, for water to perform its various functions, it has to be kept pure as contaminated water would lead to adverse environmental and health consequences.

Water pollution is the introduction of foreign material into our water bodies like lakes, streams, rivers or groundwater. This introduction, 9 times out of 10 is usually a result of human interference. Through various activities, sometimes inadvertently, we pollute our ecosystem with toxic materials dumped into our water.

Causes of Water Pollution:

One of the most popular features of water is also the cause of water pollution. Water is a “Universal Solvent” which simply means that it can dissolve almost any substance. Consequently, it is also why toxic substance mixes with water effortlessly. These toxic materials could be from traceable sources such as factories, farms, sewage etc. They are sometimes less traceable sources such as pollution in the air.

Water Pollution Effect on our Environment:

The first organisms that come in contact with polluted water are creatures living in the water. The effect of water pollution on aquatic animals depends on the kind of material introduced into the water. In extreme cases, it can lead to death of aqua species. It can also lead to a serious disrupting of the food chain. Finally, water pollution can lead to serious diseases in humans such as cholera and hepatitis.

Preventive Measures:

While the obvious way to reduce or eliminate water pollution is to stop industrial waste, doing just that and nothing more would not be enough. Preventive measures such as reduction in plastic consumption, controlling leaks in cars, using fewer pesticides or efficient disposal of chemicals would help us go the extra mile.

Marine pollution is a growing problem in today’s world. Our ocean is being flooded with two main types of pollution: chemicals and trash.

Chemical contamination, or nutrient pollution, is concerning for health, environmental, and economic reasons. This type of pollution occurs when human activities, notably the use of fertilizer on farms, lead to the runoff of chemicals into waterways that ultimately flow into the ocean. The increased concentration of chemicals, such as nitrogen and phosphorus, in the coastal ocean promotes the growth of algal blooms, which can be toxic to wildlife and harmful to humans. The negative effects on health and the environment caused by algal blooms  hurt local fishing and tourism industries.

Marine trash encompasses all manufactured products—most of the plastic—that end up in the ocean.  Littering, storm winds, and poor waste management all contribute to the accumulation of this debris, 80 percent of which comes from sources on land. Common types of marine debris include various plastic items like shopping bags and beverage bottles, along with cigarette butts, bottle caps, food wrappers, and fishing gear. Plastic waste is particularly problematic as a pollutant because it is so long-lasting. Plastic items can take hundreds of years to decompose.

This trash poses dangers to both humans and animals. Fish become tangled and injured in the debris, and some animals mistake items like plastic bags for food and eat them. Small organisms feed on tiny bits of broken-down plastic, called microplastic, and absorb the chemicals from the plastic into their tissues. Microplastics are less than five millimeters (0.2 inches) in diameter and have been detected in a range of marine species, including plankton and whales. When small organisms that consume microplastics are eaten by larger animals, the toxic chemicals then become part of their tissues. In this way, the microplastic pollution migrates up the food chain, eventually becoming part of the food that humans eat.

Solutions for marine pollution include prevention and cleanup. Disposable and single-use plastic is abundantly used in today’s society, from shopping bags to shipping packaging to plastic bottles. Changing society’s approach to plastic use will be a long and economically challenging process. Cleanup, in contrast, may be impossible for some items.

Nonetheless, many countries are taking action. According to a 2018 report from the United Nations, more than sixty countries have enacted regulations to limit or ban the use of disposable plastic items.

Save Environment

Introduction: Our natural environment and surrounding provides us with everything that we ever need. We get air, water, food, and everything else from the environment.

The term “Saving the environment” refers to the practice involved in saving and protecting the environment ensuring its sustainability.

Why should we save environment?

1. Global warming is a serious environmental issue. The continuous emission of carbon dioxide by thermal power generating units is the leading cause for the surge in greenhouse gases.

2. Natural resources are limited. If the natural resources such as oil, coal, etc. are used, one day the world may fall short of these resources.

3. High-level of environmental pollution is detrimental for human and animal health.

4. Forests are fast depleting. It may cause soil erosion and drought situation.

5. Excessive use of pesticides and contamination of soil have negatively affected soil output. These fruits and vegetables are not very healthy for human health.

How to save environment?

1. We should save drinking water. Water is a precious component of our environment. It should never be wasted.

2. We should never pollute water. Efforts should be made in making significant reduction in both domestic and industrial disposal in water bodies.

3. As far as practicable, the waste products should be recycled to make new items. The domestic and industrial garbage should be segregated as recyclable and non-recyclable before being dumped.

4. There should be a zero tolerance policy towards deforestation. Each one of us can contribute towards saving the environment by planting just one tree every-month.

5. We can make donations to NGOs that are engaged in planting trees, or in any-way working towards saving the environment.

6. Safer environmental friendly car and vehicles should be used. For short distances, people should be encouraged to use bicycle in place of motor based vehicles.

7. The use of environment unfriendly materials such as plastic should be discouraged.

8. Instead of dumping domestic garbage in the pond, lake or river, these should

9. A lot of environmental problems would disappear if we stop using petroleum, coal and natural gas as raw-materials for power generation. The focus should entirely shift on renewable sources of energy. The use of renewable sources of energy (example solar energy) would help saving the environment from global warming.

Artificial light is an important factor that contributes effectively in the process of socio-economic development. And in fact, the industrial society has been too dependent on artificial light because it is used to illuminate public places, offices, factories, residential areas ... to meet and serve activities. However, when light is not used effectively, causing excessive light is the cause of pollution. light.Based on the characteriss of the sources and the object affected, light pollution is classified into the following categories: light intrusion, light abuse, glare, mess and light. usurp the sky.
Intrusion light occurs when light reflects on unwanted or unwanted areas. Such as street lights shining into the windows of roadside apartments, the result could be insomnia for those who live in them.Bright light is the result of the opposite of the light and dark areas in the view. When bright light is shining directly into the eyes of pedestrians will lose visibility in the night and this problem is especially serious for traffic safety.
Light abuse is excessive use of light, causing waste. The main cause of this problem is not turning off the light when not needed or inappropriate lighting design makes the use of light larger than necessary or the light does not focus on the necessary area. The light is cluttered due to the excessive use of multiple light sources. At the same time, they are arranged to create interwoven light streams. Typically, there are too many advertising lights on the streets. This is also a cause for pedestrians to easily lose focus and can lead to accidents.
Light appropriating the sky usually occurs in densely populated areas, especially in modern urban areas. All the light from different sources reflects off the night sky, causing the area to shine brightly when viewed from afar. This problem especially affects astronomers when observing stars.
