The word ‘pollution’ means to make dirty or impure which is harmful. Thus, environmental pollution means the pollution of our environment that happens every day. It happens mostly in cities and industrial towns. Their air pollution occurs because of smoke. Any kind of smoke does it. Smoke from mills and factories, motor vehicles and other sources is mainly responsible for it. Again, water in the seas, rivers and canals is poisoned because of the various wastes we throw into them. Insecticides used in crop fields are often washed away into them by rain water. Mills and factories, on the banks of the river, often throw poisonous chemicals into the river water and pollute it. All sorts of sound from microphones, radios, televisions, etc. cause pollution in the environment. This tells upon our hearing and general health. We all should try to develop a civic sense amongst ourselves about it and bring a check to this pollution in our own interest.
Environment pollution isn't a new problem but it's never get old. Nowadays, more and more companies and factories are discharging many kinds of smog. And this makes the Earth becomes more polluted. The water source is also polluted by rubbish, too. Many irresponsible people throw rubbish out without thinking about the environment. We all know many benefits of the environment, why don't we protect it? Let's protect it as soon as possible, saving the Earth is saving our life.

An environment is the natural surroundings which helps human beings, animals and other living things to grow and develop naturally. But nowadays, our environment is disturbing in many different ways. Enviroment is neccessary thing for this life. Enviroment is the air we breath, the water people drink and is everything they need for their life. But now the most important thing for the life is being polluted. This pollution affects the health of all living things. Air is damaged by lorry fumes and car, and power stations create acid rain which can destroys entire lakes and forests. When fossil fuels: gas, oil and coal are burned to provide energy for cooking, lighting etc. they form polluting gases. Not only on land but also in the sea, oils spills pollute sea water and kill marine life; chemical waste from sewage works and factories, and artificial fertilisers from farmland, pollute river water, spreading disease, and killing wildlife. Everything is being caused by human’s existence. Humans create rubbish! Each household produces about one tonne of rubbish each year! Most of this is taken away by dustmen and burned in incinerators or buried in enormous landfill sites – both of these actions can be dangerous for our environment.
But only people can change and solve it. Pollution could be prevented by all thing we do each day. First people can use recycled paper to save trees. Second try to avoid using plastic. It is hard to recycle. People should refuse to use carrier bags. If people can not avoid buying plastic bags, they should use re-use plastic bags many times. Finally people must take their old clothes to charity shops. People also should save energy to protect environment. Switching off all electric things when they are not in use, walk or use a bicycle instead of car for short trips, keep healthy life and keep clean atmosphere.
Keep clean environment isn’t only all ways are mentioned before but also to protect natural resources. That is the way to conserver wild life. First we need to conserve the old forest, rainforest, build more safari and national park, and plant more trees to make place to live for wild animals. Second we need to prohibit hunters who hunt animals too many out of the law allowance.
Finally, we now know that enviroment is the most important thing for life and we know how to protect and use it scientifically. Everyday we invent and find more and more way to protect enviroment. I hope that in the future the earth will be cleaner.

Nowadays, environmental pollution is a hot issue, causing huge waves in public. There are a lot of scientific studies on this issue. Do you know that the cause of pollution originates from the tasks seeming small in our daily lives such as littering, deforestation, or the direct discharge of smoke from vehicles, factory into the environment without treatment. However, if these actions are repeated many times, gradually, the amount of pollution is increasing and has the opposite impact on our lives. The manifestation of environmental pollution is an increase in the carbon footprint in the air, soil and water, which is a gas that does not sustain life. Environmental pollution is also a direct cause of global warming, leading to a series of phenomena, such as the greenhouse effect, ice caps melting, natural disasters such as droughts, floods, volcanic eruption and so on. The sea level is rising, more and more natural disasters occur, which threaten all species, make some of which be rare or extinct, break the ecological balance on the Earth. Human beings are not exception. We are breathing polluted air, eating unsafe food. In recent years, we have seen a dramatic increase in the number of people suffering from respiratory and digestive diseases. In conclusion, environmental pollution is a matter taking a lot of concern. It is time for us to take action to overcome this current issue, to protect our own lives.
2.In recent years, the mass media have been reporting so much on environmental issues, attracting a great deal of attention from the public. In Vietnam, the most recently representative event is the mass death of fish from Ha Tinh province to Quang Tri province, causing huge damage to the government till hundreds of billion Dong, affecting the lives of inhabitants here. Not only Vietnam, some other countries in the region and in the world also suffer from severe environmental pollution. For example, in Beijing, China, the amount of air pollution is in excess of the permitted level, most of people here have to live with respiratory diseases. To overcome this current issue, the governments of many governments have the different measures to minimize the amount of pollution emitted to the environment. Many activities have been encouraged such as recycling, reusing, reforestation, waste collection, using alternative energy and so on. There have been a number of global campaigns to raise awareness of citizens like the Earth Hour with slogans, posters such as 'Protect our Earth', 'Green Environment', etc. In Vietnam, the government has also passed many laws fining heavily the organizations and individuals. Step by step, we are trying our best to protect the environment, turning the Earth into a wonderful place to live. Hope that in the future, the environmental pollution will no longer be a concern.
