Last summer, I had a wonderful vacation at My Khe beach – Da Nang. We traveled by plane to Da Nang which took us about 2 hours.

As soon as I arrived, I could see the large and beautiful sea. And at that moment, I wanted to run quickly to the sea, enjoy the clear blue water and fresh air. The weather in Da Nang was wonderful. There were many people there who swim, bathe, play soccer, windsurf; the children built sandcastles on the sea.

My family and I went back to the hotel to put the luggage. Then we ate seafood together. The service here makes me very satisfied. The food was very fresh and deliciously cooked. After eating and resting, we went to the sea. I was immersed in the cool water and the waves. It was great! I also get to meet foreigners. They were tourists and they are very friendly. In the evening we go for a walk at the beach and sing karaoke together on the sand.

We stayed in Danang for 3 days. I also went to souvenir shops to buy gifts for my friends. When I got back home I was very happy and a little bit regretful because I couldn’t stay longer. This was the best summer vacation I’ve ever had.

In my family, there are four of us – my parents, my younger sister, and myself. My father is an engineer who spends most of his time at construction sites, which explains his tanned skin. When he gets home, he usually watches the news, relaxes for a bit, and then takes a shower. If my mother hasn’t cooked dinner yet, he’s happy to lend a hand. Speaking of my mother, she’s a primary school teacher who wakes up early every morning to prepare breakfast and get everything ready for my father, sister, and me. After we leave for work or school, she goes to school and then to the market to buy fresh ingredients for lunch. My father doesn’t come home for lunch, so it’s just the three of us, but my mother still prepares everything with great care. She’s a gentle, caring person, but can be strict when needed. My younger sister will turn eight next October. She’s a sweet, studious girl who I take to the park every weekend to have some fun and buy her some ice cream. We’re close, but she can sometimes make me angry with her careless habits. As for me, I’m currently in my second year of studying Business Administration at Foreign Trade University. My schedule is quite busy, as I’m also trying to secure a scholarship to study abroad in Canada next year. As a result, I don’t spend as much time with my family as I’d like, but I always try to help out with household chores and take care of my sister whenever I have free time. There are 4 people in my family - my parents, my little sister and I. There is a big gap of time between us. I am 7 years older than her; therefore she is always a little girl in my eyes. My mother always tells her to cut off her diet or else she will never be a beautiful girl, but I think she is pretty in her own way and she needs to eat to grow properly. She is going to enter high school this autumn, and I love spending time to go to the bookstore with her to by her necessary supplies for the new semester. She is a good student at school, so she is very careful at picking up all of her stuff. I do not need to by her many new things, because she takes care of her old ones very well. She is a pretty shy girl, so she does not have many friends. I am can be considered as her best friend since she tells me about almost everything in her life. Sometimes I take her outside to play some sports, and she loves playing badminton and swimming. During summer time, we usually spend our free time at the pool, and sometimes I call some of her friends over so she does not feel lonely. Her hobbies are writing and drawing. She has a notebook which contains her short stories as well as her paintings, but she does not allow anyone to touch it even that it is me.   Trang An was recognized as the world heritage site by UNESCO. According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Trang An Tourism Complex (Ninh Binh Province) was officially included in the list of the world heritage sites by the World Heritage Committee of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Doha, the capital of Qatar on 23rd June. The Trang An Tourism Complex consists of three adjacent areas: The Hoa Lu ancient citadel, Trang An Eco-Tourism site and Tam Coc-Bich Dong natural scenic site. Accordingly, the Trang An Tourism Complex has achieved the cultural criteria. Trang An contains evidence of the interaction between human beings and environment and shows their adaptation to the conditions of geographical changes and the harshest environment in the history of the Earth. Regarding the criterion for aesthetic values, Trang An has picturesque natural landscapes including majestic mountains, mysterious caves, tranquil rivers and many holy temples, pagodas and sacred shrines. Up to now, Trang An has become the first complex in Vietnam which was recognized as the world heritage site for both criteria: cultural and natural values.
