Hiện tại tiếp diễn: She is studying for her exam at the moment. Quá khứ đơn (có sử dụng cả động từ thường và "to be"): He played football with his friends yesterday. Tương lai đơn: They will visit their grandparents next week.

 

Thì quá khứ đơn (Past simple tense) dùng để diễn tả một hành động, sự việc diễn ra và kết thúc trong quá khứ.

She was nice to me in the past. (Cô ấy đã từng rất tốt với tôi hồi trước.)They were nice to me in my last holiday.I was not obedient when I was a child.
