any không có nghĩa xác định.any thường được dùng trong câu hỏi và câu phủ định.any đứng trước danh từ số nhiều đếm được hoặc danh từ ko đếm được.Khi đạt câu hỏi với any, người đó ngụ ý nghi ngờ, không biết điều mình hỏi có hay không có.

 A LOT OF 

a lot of có nghĩa là nhiều, 1 số lượng nhiềua lot of thường được dùng trong câu khẳng định.a lot of là cách nói khác của lots of.a lot of và lots of thường đi với danh từ không đếm được và danh từ số nhiều.

SOME

some: vài, 1 vài, 1 ít trong số, 1 số.some: được xem là hình thức số nhiều của a, an.some đứng trước danh từ số nhiều đếm được và danh từ ko đếm được.

+ cách sử dụng a : chỉ một danh từ đếm được

+ cách sử dụng some : sử dụng danh từ đếm được và danh từ không đếm được, nhưng chỉ được đi với câu khẳng định và câu lời mời

          lời mời : would you like some milk ?

+ cách sử dụng any : sử dụng danh từ đếm được và danh từ khôg đếm được, nhưg chỉ được đi với câu phủ định và câu nghi vấn

ví dụ : phủ định : i don't have any water in my bottles

           nghi vấn : do you have any pets ?

+ cách sử dụng a lot of : sử dụng a lot of với danh từ đếm được nhưng phải từ 2 somethings trở lên

ví dụ : i have a lot of books
