English is my favourite subject. English is not difficult to learn, you just need to work hard to gain good results. It’s the fact that English is the most common language spoken in the world, and studying it brings me lots of opportunities. First of all, being good at English, I can talk with foreign people and tourists, which expand my knowledge about each culture in the world. Besides, English documents provides a more accurate and original source of information. As a result, reading them, I can gain a deep knowledge in any field such as science, economics,… Furthermore, I can watch films, read news in English without subtitle. It’s also a common sense that people who know English will have a higher salary than the others with a same job. I want to go abroad to study as well so English is necessary. In my daily life, in addition to class lessons and activities at home, I also participate in community activities. In the area where I live there is a group of young volunteers specializing in community affairs, and I am also a member of the group. We have a lot of jobs for the community, such as helping the elderly with their jobs, or raising fund for people and groups in difficulty. We also form groups to remove trash on the street on weekends to keep the streets clean. And many other actions. We do these activities with the aim of keeping the community growing, improving and people in need die. Being able to do these activities, I, like everyone else, feel very happy that I can contribute a small part of my effort to the community. That will encourage us to do even better things. What subject you like best in school

The subject I like best in school is geography and the subject I hate is arithmetic. Even from my younger day, I have been longing to know more about other countries and the people who live there.

Geography teaches me not only about my own country but also the neighouring countries and the world in general. From what I have studied, I have a longing to see London, Paris, New-York and Tokyo. I have heard much about Mount Fujiyama, the snow-capped mountain of Japan. I also want to see Japan during the cherryblossom season. I want to see New-York and its sky-scrapers.

Geography interests me because without visiting these places I learn about them in books. For pupils like me who are poor and cannot afford to visit these places, the knowledge of geography is all the most useful. It is perhaps the second best means of knowing more about other countries.
