The school year in Vietnam runs from September through the first of June. It is divided into two semesters. The first semester begins in September and ends before the Lunar New Year, while the second one begins right after the first one and lasts until June the first. In the USA students start their secondary education at the age of 11. First they go to Middle School for three years. Then they go for Hight School for four years, form the age 14 to 18. Some students leave school when they are 16 and find jobs. But most students stay at Hight School still they are 18. Then they take exams and they get 'Hight School Diploma'. There aren't any national exams.

All students at secondary school in the USA study English, maths, science, and P.E., but students choose other subjects, so they don't all study the same subjects.
