This is a story (1) ...about.......... Mark Twain, a famous American writer and homourist. We all know that Twain was famous in his day as a lecture and teller of funny stories. We also know that he (2) .....like......... to play jokes on his friends. In this case, the joke was on Mark Twain.

One day, he was walking along the streer of a small town where he was going to deliver a lecture that evening. (3) ....it........ was a young man who stopped him on his way just to (4) .......talk...... about his uncle. The young man said that his uncle (5).....never......... laughed and smiled.
