Apart from moon cakes and lanterns, the other most visible tradition related to Mid-Autumn festival is the lion dance. On the nights leading up to the holiday, groups of children parade through the streets – some of the children maintain a martial beat on drums, while others control an extravagantly decorated ‘lion’ crafted from molds and paper.

The children approach homes and businesses and ask the owners for their permission to perform. If they agree, the children put on a show that is believed to bring a blessing of luck and fortune. Afterwards the host gives the children lucky money as a sign of gratitude.

1,3. In Vietnam there are many festivals. Most festivals are wonderful and interesting. Here I would like to tell a few festivals that I think are the most important. The first is the Hung Temple Festival - the death anniversary of King Hung Vuong. This is a traditional festival of Vietnamese people commemorating Hung Vuong's country building. A traditional ceremony is held annually on the 10th day of the third month of the lunar calendar at Hung Temple. Next is the Perfume pagoda festival. Perfume Pagoda is a famous landmark. Unlike any pagoda, Huong pagoda makes a collection of many caves and pagodas in a combined structure that is both natural and artificial. The attraction of Huong Son is not only on the outside but also on the inside. That is the deep beauty rich in folk philosophy of the cave. Therefore, the Huong pagoda festival is one of the most interesting in Vietnam. Thirdly, the Bai Dinh pagoda festival is a pilgrimage festival to the ancient capital of Hoa Lu in Ninh Binh province. The annual Bai Dinh festival always attracts many tourists to participate. Tourists come here not only to worship and offer incense to Buddha but also to travel to spring, to admire the magnificent scenery, to mingle with the vast and pure sacred space in the Buddha realm. In Loc Vuong Ward, Nam Dinh City, Nam Dinh Province, Tran Temple Festival is held from 15th to 20th of the eighth lunar month every year in Loc Vuong ward, Nam Dinh city, Nam Dinh province to gratitude for the work of 14 Tran kings. Since 2000, Nam Dinh has held the Opening Ceremony of Tran Temple at dawn on January 15. At first, the custom of opening the seal was confined to the village of Tuc Mac, gradually becoming a great festival. The above are just some of the wonderful festivals in Vietnam, I like the most, the ceremony to Hung because it shows the gratitude of our people to the Hung kings for making the country.

My hometown is Bac Ninh, where there is recognized intangible cultural heritage that is the folk song of them. Every year, on January 13, Lim festival is held in Tien Du, Bac Ninh. While the festival is going on, there's a lot of activity. Like other festivals, the Lim festival is divided into ceremonies and festivals. The ceremony is organized with traditional rituals such as worshiping and rituals. The new part of the association is the part that tourists expect. On the lake, there will be brothers and sisters on the dragon boat singing mandarins. The melodies of the charm are so smooth and clear, they are so beautiful. Many people stood on the shore cheering and taking pictures. While the festival took place, there were also many games such as cockfighting, wrestling, throwing ... Visitors who come here can also buy or rent their costumes to take pictures or buy a lot of beautiful souvenirs. Hoi Lim not only brings human value but also great economic value for Bac Ninh province.

Tet is a national festival in Vietnam,  many Vietnamese people love it. Tet is celebrated in the January of lunar calendar to welcome new year. Before Tet, people buy food, fruits, drink, flowers, and the most important is the peach blossom or kumquat tree. Children are bought new clothes by their parents. On New Year's Eve, all of the family members gather to give each other the best wishes and have a meal. During Tet, people can go to the parks, stadiums to see fireworks, it is very beautiful. Children can receive lucky-money from parents and relatives. I like staying at home to watch the New Year's comedies, it makes me laugh a lot. On the next day, people go to the temple to thank the ancestors, Buddha who helped everyone in the old year. In short, I really love Tet.

One of the beauties of the traditional Tet holiday is wishing to people nice things. On New Year’s Day, in addition to gifts, people also give each other best wishes. Not only young people wish the adults New Year but adults also wish Tet for younger people. In Vietnam, some popular New Year wishes such as: Happy new year, everything goes well, Safety good health prosperity. In addition, with each different age, there will be different wishes. For the elderly, people often wish “Wishing you a hundred years old”. In middle age, they are wished for family and career, such as: “Wishing you have many healthy, good work, and prosperous businesses.”. Children often receive wishes about learning. For example: “I wish you will be better, do better studies”. In general, each person has different Tet greetings depending on the circumstances. Wishing on Tet is Not only a custom, but also shows the Vietnamese tradition of “When drinking water, think of its source”.

Buffalo fighting is a unique and traditional festival of people in Do Son District, Haiphong City. This festival is not only associated with Water Goddess worshiping and sacrificing custom but also expressed bravery, chivalry, and risk-taking spirit of people in the coastal city of Haiphong. The festival is annually and officially operated on the 9th day of the 8th month in Vietnamese Lunar Calendar; however, its preparation takes participants nearly a year to process. From choosing the right buffaloes to buy, raising and training them-all of which require hard work and ongoing effort. For example, selection of fighting buffaloes only must be in great meticulosity as they must meet a wide range of requirements: at least 4 or 5 years old, wide chest, bow-shape horns, toned thighs, and long tail. Also, these buffaloes are kept separately from normal ones, and so on. The festival derives from the belief of Do Son’s locals that buffalo fighting is in favor of their guardian gods and hence a continuity of this activity brings them safe voyages, abundant crops as well as healthy and wealthy people-signs of prosperity and happiness.
