Alana is my first foreign friend, I know her online,she's very cool.We have same interests,I don't know the exact age of her,but she's very friendly.Seria is my online friend too, she is 13 years old and she draws very well.She very kind,she always encourages me in studying.Newt also my online friend and he is 13 years old too.I don't know his real name,I asked him once,but he said just call him Newt.He always supports my ideas and he's very funny.I love my friends very much because they are all nice and friendly to me.

John liked chocolates very much, but his mother never gave him any, because they were bad for his teeth, she thought. But John had a very nice grandfather. The old man loved his grandson very much, and sometimes he brought John chocolates when he came to visit him. Then his mother let him eat them, because she wanted to make the old man happy.

One evening, a few days before John’s eighth birthday, he was saying his prayers in his bedroom before he went to bed. “Please, God”, he shouted, “make them give me a big box of chocolates for my birthday on Saturday”. His mother was in the kitchen and she heard the small boy shouting and went into his room quickly.

“Why are you shouting, John?” she asked her son, “God can hear you when you talk quietly”.

“I know”, answered the clever boy with a smile, “but Grandfather’s in the next room, and he can’t”.

Bobby Brown is a busy man. He is 60 years and he has thirteen jobs. He is a post man, a policeman, a fireman, a taxi driver, a school bus driver, a boatman, an ambulanece man, an accountant, a petrol attendant, a barman and an undertaker. Also, he and his wife, margaret, have a shop and a small hotel.

Bobby lives and works on the island of Gigha in the west of Scotland. Only one hundred and twenty people live in Gigha but in summer this number will be doubled because of tourists who come by boat everyday.

Every day Bobby gets up at 6.00 and makes breakfast for the hotel guests. At 8.00 he drives the inland's children to school.
