I love to go to school. When I have a holiday I miss school. I go to school with my friends, and we enjoy biking down together. My school is two kilometers away from home. I wake up early in the morning to go to school as classes begin at quarter past seven every day.

I find my school uniform very smart. The uniform is a white shirt and a blue skirt with a black belt and blue tie. And to go with it is a pair of white socks and black shoes. The teachers are strict about our uniform being neat and spotlessly clean. At the assembly the students, all together, look very neat and well turned out.

At school I learn many new things each day. There are many subjects that are taught to us like languages, mathematics, science and social studies. We also have interesting co-curricular activities that help us learn better. We also go on educative excursions.

There are a number of extra-curricular activities also that are offered to us. We are afforded opportunities to participate in various sports, music, dance, theatre and art events. These are fun activities that also help us develop our hobbies.

2. My school is a very beautiful, big and large school. The shool has a lot of trees and the a school yard. It has a library, a computer room and a sporting yard for students to play. There are many modern equipments. The students of the school are friendly and the teachers are good, too. The lessons starts at 7:00 am to 11:30 am and it would be only 5 lessons in the day. The school has a lot of flowers and lawns green. Listed under the trees row of stone for us to read books and talk after each lessons. Every classrooms are clean. The classroom are full of fans, light, tables and chairs. I love my school very much!

The happiest day of my life our tour to Ooty. We went on a trip to the beautiful hill station last month. It was a nice family trip where we enjoyed a lot. The trip started on a breezy Sunday morning. We hired a van from our home and my uncle’s family accompanied us.
We boarded a lodge at 10 ‘o clock in the morning and the weather so cold that we were freezing like a statue. After getting ready with all our jackets over us we went to the Thunder world which was a very different theme zone I have ever seen. The botanical garden and rose garden were so amazing. It was a great scene to see so many flowers altogether. They all looked as if they were smiling at us.
The next day we visited Pykara and the boating experience there was indeed not equivalent to words. The same afternoon we went to Mudhumalai forests and saw wildlife face to face. The trip was so wonderful that it cannot be explained simply in words. The trip to Ooty was definitely one of the most memorable ones in my life

STUDY WELL!

Hi! I'm Truong. I am a secondary school student. I go to school every day from Monday to Saturday. I am very busy with my studies. Sunday is my holiday.

On Sunday morning, I get up later than usual. After breakfast, I visit my close friend and we often go shopping downtown. Sometimes we go for a picnic in the countryside. In the afternoon, I prefer having a rest in my room, reading books or listening to pop music. Then after dinner, I prepare my lessons for the following week and go to bed early.


Once in a while, I spend my weekend joining the social activities organized by the Communist Youth Union of my school. We usually go along the streets raising money for charity or travel to remote areas to give help to poor people.

Sunday is a good time for me. It refreshes my mind after a week's hard work.

Last year , on summer holiday , when I had just passed the entrance exam to Ha Noi University of technology , my father took me to Ho Chi Minh city for a few days . As being eager for the trip , I prepared many things such as clothes , camera ... Eventually it came . When we got on the plane , I was very glad and the flight took off pricise time . Un almost everyone who felt ill at the beginning of the flight , I felt very comfortable . When the plane was floating in the air , I looked over the windown of the plane . Oh , I saw an incredibly beautiful scene . Everything was only lights that were sparkling and subtle . Two hours and a half later , we arrived in Ho Chi Minh city . We caught a taxi to go straight to my uncle’s house which nearly the airport . Next day , we woke up early , preparing to visit the city on my uncle’s motorbike . Who didn’t know that the streets in HCM city were as crowded as in HN city and I found that everyone was in a hurry . First , we stopped at DamSen water park where I enjoyed many aqua games slipping from a whirl of water , slithering in gutter , rolling with water and so do on . After that , we had a excellent lunch there . The foods was arranged as a party with many , many dishes : grill leg of turkey , bacon , beef , big crab , lobster , salmon , tuna , etc with various drinks such as cocacola , pepsi , beer and some wine made from grapes . After a while , my belly was full but I still was eatting some dessert . There are some dessert to choose such as melon , grapes , pear . Finally , I got a cup of coffee . I was very relaxed by flourve of it . Next , we slept for a long time and then drove motorbike in the streets about nightfall .We went snowly by motorbike and there were so many fun gave me on the day . Nightlife was animate . All shop was being opened with colourful lights , many vehicles were going in the streets and some people were going on foot in pavement to the streets became bustling and clamourous . About ten o’clock , we went back home to ready for next day that is enjoyable . It’s joyful memory . Furthermore , it’s reward to me for I passed one's examination to studying at HUT so it remind me that I must try to study very well.

My school is ten kilometers away from my home, and I go by the school bus every morning. I love to go to school. I learn so many new things at school every day. There are many different subjects I study at school. I study languages like Sanskrit, Hindi and English, and other subjects like mathematics, science and social studies.

My school is very beautiful. There are nice, lush gardens with beautiful plants and trees. In spring time the blooming flowers are a spectacle. My school has a well equipped library, and I enjoy reading books. There are also computers in the school for our use.

I love my school and my teachers. My teachers are very caring. They teach us with a great deal of patience, and they want us to become good and responsible human beings. I want to make my school and my teachers proud of me.

He was born in Văn Thôn village, Quang Liệt commune, present day Thanh Tridistrict, Hanoi. In the early life, he was famous as a straight forward man who passed the doctoral examination (Thái Học Sinh )but refused to become a mandarin. Instead, An opened a school and began his career as a Confucian teacher in Huỳnh Cung village in Thanh Tri. An's teaching played an important role in spreading Confucianism into a Buddhist Vietnam in this time.

Under the reign of Tran Minh Tong (1314–1329), he became a teacher at the imperial academy where he was responsible for teaching the crown prince Vuong, the future emperor Tran Hien Tong. Under the reign of emperor Tran Du Tong, he was raised to a high-ranking mandarin.

Later, he resigned and return to his home-village because Tran Du Tong refused his request of beheading eight other mandarins who he accused of corruption. For the rest of his life, An continued his teaching career and wrote books. He died of illness in 1370.

An altar was erected in his honour in the Temple of Literature in Hanoi, where he is still revered.
