Myself, Rajani Tyagi, live in Ghaziabad in the New Panchwati colony. I study in the class 6 in the section B. I study in the school New Era Ghaziabad. I have a best friend named Nha, we have been together since we were just little kids. She has beautiful bright skin and big black eyes. We have a lot of things in common, such as we love the same band, food and books. She and I even share the same name, and it is a small surprise for anyone who has talked to us. Nha is not my classmate, but we always help each other with the homework and school projects. We spend every minute in our break time to talk about all the things that happen in class, and people usually ask what can even makes us laugh that hard. I have a best friend ever in my life named Ashutosh. He is someone special in my life who helps me in my every difficulty. He is someone who showed me right path. He always has time for me even in his busy schedule. He is my neighbour that’s why we become together even after school time. We go together at picnic whenever we get vacation from school. We enjoy our festival holidays together and with each other’s family. We go to see Ramlila fair in the Ramlila ground together and enjoy a lot. We always take part in every extracurricular activities of the school. We love to play cricket and carom at home. He is more than a mentor for me because he always gives me right decisions whenever I become in difficulty.

He is so special for me in my life; I never do anything without him. He always become in a good mood and never compromise with wrong ways. He always does right things and motivates every one of us in the classroom to do the same. He always has smiling face even in his difficult times and never let his difficulties to come on his face. He is a good counsellor and loves to explain anything. He cares for his parents, grandparents and other family members. He obeys them always and other old people of the society. I met him first time when I was in the fifth grade and now we are in 8th standard in the same section.

He is very tall and looks different from my other classmates. Once I was very upset because of money problem. I could not buy all necessary books in the class 6. He asked me, what happened and I told him my story. He said that, for this small problem you are so worry and not happy for some days. He laughed and told me that don’t worry we can share all books in the school as well as at home. You don’t need to buy even any single book for whole year. After that he made me laugh through his jokes and stories. I never forget that moment he helped me and always become ready to help him too. He is so pracal and never mixes the personal and professional life. He helps me always whenever I get difficulties in solving my Maths homework. Our s and diss never match however we are best friends.

I think in the future there will be many modern means of transport such as speed trains, trains, submarines, airplanes, space trains, unmanned vehicles..... But my favorite vehicle is the airplane because it is beautiful and environmentally friendly, especially when it gets too much traffic, it can fly to the sky so that we can move faster and without losing much time. In the future, I think people won't be worried about travelling because of teleporters. It will look like a big magic box or maybe it will be designed as a magic lift. In my opinion, it will be powered by solar energy and it will combine the function of a 3D map. Just think about going into a teleporter in France and choosing Vietnam as the destination. Then, 3 minutes later, you will be in Hanoi - Vietnam. That will be great. People can use it anytime and anywhere. It won't take a lot of space. I think it will replace all other vehicles and it will make people around the world closer.

I come from a nuclear family which consists of 4 members. There are my parents, my older brother and me. My dad is forty-five years old and he is a great doctor. He leaves home at 7 in the morning and only comes back home when it is11pm. There are many days when he has to work overnight and that makes him exhausted.

My dad is hard-working and responsible. He always put patients in the first place. Meanwhile, my mother is a lawyer. She is even busier than my father. She often has to go on business and spend little time at home. Although they are successful and busy, they still care for us. They teach us and attend every meeting and events at our school.

No matter how tired they are, my parents sometimes take us to travel and discover new cities. My older brother is 25. He works as a postgraduate. He is handsome, manly and very attractive. He loves science fiction books and philosophy books. I adore him very much. My family is happy. I love them very much and I want us to live together under the same roof for the rest of my life.

Everyone in my family is very busy. The time everyone can see each other is at meals. Therefore, my mother always carefully prepared the meal. I often help mom with cooking in my spare time. After we set the food on the table, I called my dad and brother  to eat. We will wish everyone a delicious meal. My dad will tell us about interesting things when he goes to work. My mother often talks about the things she just bought. My brother and I laughed happily too. Because my dad works so hard, he can eat a lot. I love the food my mom cooks. I hope I can cook as well as my mother. After eating, she will prepare me and my brother with fresh milk. I don’t drinking milk very much but my mom said it would be good for me. My grandmother is 90 this year, and her age makes her become pretty weak. There are countless wrinkles on her face, but we can still see that she used to be a very beautiful girl when she was young. She has curly grey hair which my mother decided to cut short. Her eyes are blurred by time, but there is still a light in them whenever she smiles. Every morning, she will spend about 10 minutes to walk around the yard as a light exercise, and then she will drink a hot cup of milk. She has to follow a strict diet because she has problem with her liver, so she cannot eat the same food as other people. Besides, she needs to take some pills in the morning and evening to maintain her health, and I feel really sad when she needs more and more pills. Despite her age, she is still a delightful lady who is full of love, and of course I love her very much.

My house is located in a small quiet alley. That’s a pretty pink house which consists of 6 rooms in totally: a living room, a kitchen, a toilet, a bathroom and two bedrooms. There are a white leather sofa, a television and a sideboard in the living room. After dinner, my father will turn on the television, choose a great movie and we watch it happily. Next to the living room is the kitchen where is used for cooking and enjoying the meals. In the middle of the room is a dinner table which is made from wood. Three cookers, a refrigerator and all the neccesary stuff for cooking is arranged carefully in the right corner of the room. In the left of the kitchen is a clean toilet. Beside the toilet is the bathroom which is equipped a shower and a bathtub. There are only two rooms upstairs that is my parents’ room and my private room. I’ve decorated my bedroom with adorable wallpaper and many lovely stuffed animals. A single bed is placed next to the window so that I can stargaze before falling asleep. In the opposite of the bed are my desk and my bookshelf that contain many kinds of book. There are also an old television and a piano in my bedroom. I especially love the piano because that was the gift from dad in my birthday. In every Christmas or Tet holiday, all member of my family ornament the house together and then gather in the kitchen to cooking. Although my house is not too big but to me that is the most beautiful house in the world.

Tôi trang trí phòng của mình bằng giấy dán tường rất ngộ nghĩnh và nhiều thú nhồi bông dễ thương. Chiếc giường đơn được đặt cạnh cửa sổ để tôi có thể ngắm sao trước khi chìm vào giấc ngủ. Đối diện giường là bàn học và kệ sách chứa rất nhiều loại sách. Trong phòng của tôi còn có một chiếc tivi cũ và một chiếc đàn piano. Tôi đặc biệt thích chiếc đàn piano bởi vì đó là món quà mà tôi tặng sinh nhật tôi. My family is going to visit my grandparents in Kien Giang in next summer. I’m looking forward to seeing them and their beautiful house that I love so much. That’s an ancient small French villa with a chimney and many old arc windows. The house is light blue that is my favourite colour. There are two floors and a terrace in the house. A living room and a kitchen are in the first floor. My grandfather put a sofa made from wood, an out-dated telvevision and a small aquarium with many colorful schools of fish. Behind the living room is the kitchen. The stuffs in the kitchen are quite old, exception gas stove and refrigerator. My grandmother told me that she had a lot of experiences in this kitchen because she almost spent all of her life to do household chorces and cooking. Next to the kitchen is a cute henhouse where grandmom often takes eggs to bake a best cake ever. There are 3 bedrooms and a workship room where is kept clean all the time in the second floor. The bedroom is very simple and corny. I have to admit that the bedroom looks very musky. When I was a kid, I always thought of scary things would happen to me if I fell asleep in a bedroom that. And nothing happened to me, of course, that’s just my imagination. The last part of the house is the terrace which is my grandfather’s world. He has many strange beautiful birds whose names are difficult to remember, too. He lets the birds land in the trees which he planted a long time ago. Every morning, my grandparents do exercises and enjoy the fresh air there together. To everyone, that house may be very normal but to me that is the most perfect house in the world.

Kế bên nhà bếp là một chiếc chuồng gà đáng yêu nơi mà bà hay lấy trứng để làm món bánh nướng trứng ngon tuyệt vời. Có ba phòng ngủ và một phòng thờ nơi luôn được quét dọn sạch sẽ ở trên tầng thứ hai. Phòng ngủ rất đơn giản và cũ kỹ. Tôi phải thừa nhận rằng phòng ngủ ở đây trông có vẻ rất âm u. Khi tôi còn nhỏ, tôi luôn suy nghĩ về những điều đáng sợ sẽ xảy đến với tôi nếu tôi ngủ. Và không có chuyện gì xảy đến cả, đó là do tôi tưởng tượng ra mà thôi. Phần cuối cùng trong căn nhà là sân thượng-thế giới riêng của ông. Ông nuôi rất nhiều loài lạ và đẹp có cái tên rất khó nhớ. Ông để cho chim chóc đậu trên những cái cây đã được trồng từ rất lâu rồi. Vào mỗi buổi sáng, ông bà của tôi cùng nhau tập thể dục và tận hưởng không khí mát lành trên đây cùng với nhau. Đối với mọi người đó có thể chỉ là một căn nhà bình thường nhưng đối với tôi đó là căn nhà tuyệt vời nhất trên thế giới.

My mother is the one who I love most in my life. For what she’s done, she deserved with the whole world. My mother is a 43-year-old household wife. She’s tall, slim and especially she has a beautiful long black hair. She always smile thus everyone consider her a friendly person. My mom loves every members of the family with all her heart. She agreed to be a household woman instead of working out. My mother takes care of the household chorces. She wakes up earliest in the morning and goes to bed latest in the night. And during the day, she’s very busy. I remember once when my mother got sick so nobody did the house work and everything went to crazy. From then, my father and I join hand to help mother whenever we have free time. She’s really happy about that. When I was a kid, mom taught me to play piano at each weekend. I still remember the songs which includes many childhood’s experiences. Not only taught me to play piano, she also taught me to be a better human. I love the moral stories that she told me before I fell asleep every night. We’re really appreaciate mother’s effort, patient and her hard work to conserve the family’s happiness. My mother is an indispensable part of my life. When I grow up, I want to be a woman like her.

My father is a talented engineer. This year, he is 42 years old. His building looks very healthy with a slightly tan skin. He has an angular face and curly black hair trimmed neatly. People often praise him as a kind, generous and estimable man. When neighbors have trouble, he is not afraid but be willing to help. At work, he is quite hard working and strict so he is should be loved and trusted by all colleagues. Most of the time my father works away from home, but he always tries to arrange time for our family. At home, Dad often help mommy with housework, cleaning, watering plants, ... and take care of our study. My father and I have the same hobby as swimming, so we always go to the swimming pool near the house to make out who swim better. Besides swimming, he is also gifted in some other sports such as football, badminton, table tennis, basketball, etc. In my eyes, he is also a wonderful friend and teacher. I share with him a lot of happiness and sorow, even the secret. He always llistens, feels sympathetic, and gives me useful advice. Thanks to him, I also learn a lot of good skills such as repairing electrical appliances, driving a motorbike, fishing ... I feel very lucky to have such a wonderful father, I will try study well to make my father always pleasant.

The summer before my junior year in high school, my family and I took a trip to a completely new world. Being from a small town, I had never really been exposed to the elements of a large city such as New York City. My trip there was like discovering an entirely new way of life that I had only heard stories of previously.

For about the tenth time the morning of the flight, I checked my room to make sure I didn’t leave anything essential behind. My stomach was doing flips as we arrived at the airport and made our way to the gate. It didn’t get much better than this: I watched through the window as the runway zoomed by and the buildings and houses became smaller and smaller as the plane gained altitude. An exhilarating feeling overcame me as I realized that I would soon be in one of the most amazing cities of the United States.

As we stood waiting for a taxi outside of the airport, it was immediately apparent to me that New York City was not the same as New Caney, Texas. It seemed like everyone there was in a hurry to get to another place. The loud and constant sound of cars honking was heard throughout the entire trip. As soon as a car seemed to be going slower than the person behind him liked, he would hear the horn of that car to let him know that he was apparently holding everybody else up! When we found our hotel in Times Square, I noticed that it wasn’t just the cars that were in a hurry. Everyone in the streets was walking at a brisk pace that indicated a rush to be somewhere. The transportation of the city was also far different than anything that I had ever been exposed to. In my little town, a bike, a car, or even walking was perfectly suitable for getting around town, but in this foreign land, there were many more ways for one to get to another destination. Everywhere you looked, there were people hailing taxis, waiting on buses, rushing underground to the subway stations, walking frantically, or desperately trying to maneuver their own cars through the busy streets. Just standing and watching the many people rushing their own separate ways was an interesting observation.

In addition to the people and transportation, the buildings were also an incredible sight. Each street was crammed with buildings that were built side by side with no room in between them, and a number of skyscrapers were present throughout the city as well. I was awestruck again as we went inside some of these buildings such as the Empire State Building and made our way towards the top. Standing outside of one of the top stories of the Empire State Building was awesome. I could hold the entire city in my hand from this view. I could even see Ellis Island a distance away from there. The stores were also large compared to the ones of my little town. A small retail store in New Caney would be a huge store that took up an entire building in New York. This would make it seem logical that the prices of everything in New York were almost triple those back home. It was as if the little peaceful neighborhood where I lived was magnified by 100 to make up the wonder city of New York.

My visit to New York City was a life changing experience. For the first time in my life, I was exposed to a little taste of what the real world is like. The incredible modes of transportation, the huge skyscrapers, and all of the thousands of people made me anxious to grow up and perhaps move to an incredible city such as this one. Either way, my first trip to New York was one of the most incredible experiences of my life, one I will always treasure.
