TOPIC 1:
Bat Trang Porcelain Village is a traditional pottery-making village, which is located in the Northern of the Red River, Bat Trang town, Gia Lam district, Ha Noi. The pottery here is made of a special kind of clay – the white clay.
The craftsmen only use their hands to knead the clay into the shape of the bowl, flower vase, etc. Then, they draw lively pictures or patterns on the products and glaze them. After that, these kneaded-clays will be put into the kiln for heating.
The pottery products of Bat Trang Porcelain Village are always famous for the skillfulness, subtleness and the diversity of product’s shapes such as small bowls, large bowls, flower vases, pots, thuribles, etc. Especially, all the handicrafts of this pottery-making village are waterproof and fade-resistant.
The glaze of Bat Trang is also very subtle and unique with the secret recipe, which is handed down from generation to generation. Those values have created such an irresistible attraction and appealing feature for Bat Trang village. This is the reason why this traditional handicraft village can attract so many tourists as well.
TOPIC 2:
Life in modern cities truly causes a lot of nuisances. In the first place, citizens have to deal with traffic congestion every day. This problem is even worse in the rush hour when so many people run out to work and are stuck on streets for hours. Next, high cost of living is also a serious issue in the city, especially in metropolitan cities. More and more people find it difficult to live on their modest salaries when prices are going up all the time. Financial pressure makes city dwellers become constantly stressed and tired. Finally, the polluted air caused by exhaust emissions from millions of vehicles, construction dust and the lack of green trees negatively affects residents’ health. Many people suffer from respiratory problems such as cough, sore throat or asthma. Indeed, city life brings a number of difficulties as well as challenges to its citizens.

2. I think those activities such as playing sport, praticing piano or some kind of instrument, learn how to bake cakes,... Because teenagers really need to grow their physical condition and other skills too.
3. I don't think that parents should decide that for teenagers. At these ages, teenagers need to feel free to do things they like. But parents can give advice for their children.
4. The advantages of using technology in leisure activities are like they can help us to get more information on the internet that could be useful for our activities, technology may bring a comfortable feeling when we work… But the disadvantage that if we use computer or mobile phone too much, it would be harmful for our health.
5. To me, the Vietnamese student would usually do activities such as going to a football match that is an activity that boys really love, or going shopping, hanging out at the café’s or just simply go to a place and do the homework together.

7. Well, the “nomadic life” to me it’s really interesting. You can go to anywhere you like, travel and see lots of different things. But the fact is, you can’t see your family very often. That cause a little homesick.
8. Option 1: Yes. I do feel that the countryside is boring. There is no wi-fi, no shopping mall, and the other interesting places in the city too. It’s really inconvenient when you’ll have to go very far to buy things and you just can’t do anything fun.
Option 2: I don’t really on it. I think the countryside is quite nice place to live. Although it’s a bit inconvenient but there are still lots of things to do. I’m quite a nature person, I love to do activities such as going fishing, picking mushrooms in the forest, feed the cows,… Lots of interesting things that you can do when you are close to the nature.
9. Well, the world is growing everyday and of course there are changes in the country life too. Things are not being so rustic as we used to know. Living in the countryside has a lot of advantages, but also many disadvantages. As the advantage we can consider the fact that the country is less polluted and the traffic isn't so heavy. You are fit and you don't need to worry about your health condition, because in the countryside the air and water are so clean. In the country there are many plant species. There aren't any huge blocks of flats, modern skyscrapers or bothersome traffic jams. In the country you are free to admire the breathtaking landscapes such as huge meadows, peaceful hills or forests. You can enjoy walking in the forest and picking mushrooms or hunting. Another advantage is that you may easily build a big house and the garden, because charges for ground are much lower than in the suburbs. Moreover, living in the countryside is cheaper than it is in the city, so you probably may afford many other things, because the prices are lower. What is more, you can invite your friends to the barbecue organized in your garden. It would be great! The other positive side is the safety. In the rural area the crime rate is much lower. There aren't a lot of housebreaks and the possibility of burglary is also lower. In the countryside people usually and keep eyes on neighbour's estates. They always react when something strange is happening. Country life is very peaceful and silent. You will enjoy the feeling of peace.
However, there are a lot of positive aspects of living in the country side, there are also some disadvantages. Living in the country is slower. People don't need to hurry and have a lot of time. People in the country don't have to work so many hours as they do in the city. On the other hand, they don't earn so much money. Moreover, there aren't such interesting things to do during free time. The unemployment rate is also much higher than in the city. The problem may be also the communication. If you don't have your own car, you may have problem how to commute to work. The same problem concerns the access to the hospitals, schools, police stations and shops, which are usually located far from the village. Last of all, there are some dangers connected with country life such as heavy snowfall or rainfall.
To sum up, I think that living in the country may have a lot of advantages such as fresh air, breathtaking landscapes and comfort, but a lot of people decide to stay in the city, due to the fact that the life in the town is easier. The easy access to shops and other institutions are the great advantage.
