câu gốc của nó sẽ là the girl who helped me with the needlework yesterday is my classmate.

They'll have their cars mended tomorrow. Tại sao lại là mended ạ? 

vì dịch ra nó sẽ mang ý nghĩa bị động 

ta có cấu trúc : have sth done : có cái gì được làm

The man sitting next to me was very nervous. Sao lại là sitting khi một bên là was ạ?

đây là câu rút gọn mệnh đề quan hệ

câu gốc : the man who was sitting next to me was very nervous

was ở vế sau là động từ tobe cho chủ ngữ the man

Dạng rút gọn mệnh đề quan hệ sử dụng 2 dạng của động từ: đó là Ving và Ved

V-ing dùng cho câu chủ động, khi chủ ngữ là người thực hiện hành động

Còn Ved dùng cho câu bị động khi chủ ngữ nhận hành động

Ở đây ta thấy là câu chủ động nên cần dùng Ving

Có cấu trúc have st V2 là nhờ cái gì được làm bởi ai

Câu 3 là dạng rút gọn mệnh đề quan hệ chủ động, như mình nói ở trên ta chọn động từ Ving
