Most people would define a good teacher as someone who makes their students excel academically and do well on their tests. I believe that’s almost right, but a little off. I believe that a good teacher doesn’t have one dimension but two. They not only make you excel, but they make you want to go to school. They care about the student’s insecurities and problems, and most importantly they are there to support you.


My teacher is like that. Her name is Ms. Young and she’s changed the way I see the world. She isn’t one of those teachers that will give it their all just to be liked by the students. She honestly doesn't fit in a category of teachers. Although it’s her first year teaching at High Tech Middle she fit in immediately. Normally the project based learning philosophy is hard for new teachers to adapt to, but Ms. Young did it effortlessly.

After nine years of switching from town to town, school to school, and teacher to teacher, Ms. Young is by far the best teacher I’ve ever had. She keeps the class in order, yet manages to make it fun at the same time. She’s always there for academic as well as personal help. Honestly for the first time I don’t want to pass the grade. Ms. Young has taught me a lot over the past school year. I’m not only speaking of history, writing, and reading. She has taught me to appreciate the little things, never judge, and be happy about the work I create. I have grown more in this year than any other, and I owe it almost completely to Ms. Young.

I used to think I was a good writer. Looking back on my work from just last year, I realize how much stronger my writing skills and vocabulary are. Bước lên những bậc thang ngoằn ngoèo quấn quanh gốc cây sẽ tới những căn phòng nhỏ khá đầy đủ tiện nghi. Những căn phòng được đặt trong những hốc như những hang động và được đặt tên theo tên của các loài thú: phòng con gấu, phòng con hổ, phòng đại bàng, phòng kangaroo... Các căn phòng đều rất đặc biệt, không lặp lại về kiến trúc và thiết kế và nội thất đều kỳ lạ, thấp bé, được tạc đẽo cho hợp với những vách tường cong. Nhà mình có rất nhiều phòng nhưng có lẽ đẹp nhất là phòng khách. Nó nằm ở tầng trệt, thông với cửa ra vào, nhà bếp và phòng ăn. Bố mình thích màu sáng nên đã sơn nó màu xanh da trời. Trên những bức tường, có hai cửa sổ bằng thủy tinh bởi vậy căn phòng luôn tràn ngập ánh sáng. Đây có lẽ là phòng rộng nhất nhà và khá tiện nghi. Nền nhà được phủ bởi một tấm thảm nhung màu tím rất mềm mại. Ở chính giữa căn phòng là bộ sô pha màu be, ngồi lên nó rất êm ái. Cạnh đó là kệ thủy tinh để kê TV. Mình để trên đó rất nhiều gấu bông và một lọ hoa để tô điểm. Góc trái của phòng là một chiếc tủ gỗ, có rất nhiều ngăn. Ở ngăn to nhất là nơi đựng rượu của bố, có rất nhiều loại rượu như là rượu nho, vodka. Ở những ngăn khác, mẹ đựng biết bao nhiêu là sách, ảnh, bằng khen và có cả một chiếc điện thoại để bàn, tất cả đều được sắp xếp một cách ngay ngắn. Trên trần nhà là một chiếc đèn chùm sặc sỡ sắc màu, nó thường hay được bật lên vào các dịp lễ tết, tiệc mừng. Trên các bức tường, mình treo rất nhiều những bức ảnh nghệ thuật để tô điểm cho căn phòng. Nơi góc phòng, đây cũng là nơi mình thích nhất vì có một bể cá nhỏ. Mẹ mua biết bao những em cá sặc sỡ sắc màu, nào là cá cờ, cá chép. Mỗi ngày, mình đều cho chúng ăn nên con nào nhìn cũng rất mũm mĩm. Mọi người trong nhà đều rất thích căn phòng này, giữ cho nó luôn sạch sẽ và gọn gàng. Trong tương lai, chắc chắn nó sẽ được tu sửa thêm, ngày càng trở nên tiện nghi hơn để đón những thành viên trong nhà trở về sau một ngày căng thẳng.

When I was 5 years old I had a pleasant experience. That was when my grandparents went home to play, so careless I got lost. At first I didn’t even know I was lost. I kept going straight until I got tired of my legs and couldn’t walk anymore. At that time I knew I was lost. At first I was so scared, I cried loudly and called my parents. Everyone passing by looked at me. But I’m thinking of kidnappers. Due to fear of being found lost, I immediately stopped crying. I go against the original direction. I stood at a convenience store and waited for my parents to come find me. The owner of the convenience store saw me standing there for a long time afraid I was hungry, so gave me a cake. By the evening my parents found me. Getting lost is scary but I find that after that time I have grown a lot. I also confidently handle unexpected situations better.

I always love to go out with my family, and going to Dam Sen theme park was one of my favorite event. We went there in the early in the morning to get the ket because it was weekend. Once we got inside the park, we started to follow the map to visit everywhere. First, we bought some snacks and drinks to eat on the way, then we sat down near the lake to have a small picnic. Next, we joined in the playground section to play many different interesting games. My sister, my father and I decided to went inside the haunted house while my mother stood outside. I screamed as loud as I could, and I ended up having a sore throat. Later we got on the roller coaster, the racing cars and rode the fake bulls. Most of the time my mother just stood outside and kept our belongings, but sometimes she also joined some easy games as well. We left the park in the evening, and it was such a great day to create memories with my family.
