Emperor Ly Thanh Tong founded The Temple of Literature in 1070. Now it is considered as one of the historic and cultural sites of Vietnam. And then in 1076 Emperor Ly Nhan Tong built The Imperial Academy as the first university of Vietnam.In 1484, Emperor Le Thanh Tong built the first Doctor’s stone tablet there to memorize the devotion of Doctors. Now it is recognized as the World heritage by UNESCO. In 2003, the Ha Noi People Committee built four statues of Emperor Ly Thanh Tong, Emperor Ly Nhan Tong, King Le Thanh Tong, and Chu Van An who founded and developed Temple of Literature – Imperial Academy.

Van Mieu (The Temple of Literature) was constructed in 1070 during Ly Thanh Tong's dynasty. Its original purpose was to honor Confucius. In 1076, the first university of Vietnam called Quoc Tu Giam (The Imperial Academy), was established within this temple by Emperor Ly Nhan Tong. Hi everybody! I am Le, I live with my family, my husband and 2 children. We live in a small house in the center of Hanoi. My house is small but it is very beautiful. There are 3 floors in the house and it has 3 bed rooms, one kitchen and living room together, others is bed rooms. It is not a fantas house but comfortable. In my bedroom, we has bed, wardrobe, a piano, desk and computer, TV, CD payer…. The living room is small but it is very nice and the kitchen is very convenient. In bed room of my children, there is bed, desk and or wardrobe. In fact, it has very litter of decorating things pictures or painting. I prefer the comfortable than the fabilous. My house also has a small garden with some trees and flowers that my husband is planted. My house isn’t large but it very beautiful, and I love this house so much. Nhà tôi cũng có một khu vườn nhỏ với một số cây và hoa mà chồng tôi đã trồng từ rất lâu. Nhà của tôi là không lớn nhưng nó rất đẹp, và tôi thích ngôi nhà này rất nhiều. Chồng tôi và tôi đã cố gắng rất nhiều để mua được nó và điều quan trọng nhất đó là nơi mà tất cả các thành viên của đình tôi chia sẻ hạnh phúc và nỗi buồn cũng như sự đau khổ với nhau.

I have a best friend named Nha, we have been together since we were just little kids. She has beautiful bright skin and big black eyes. We have a lot of things in common, such as we love the same band, food and books. She and I even share the same name, and it is a small surprise for anyone who has talked to us. I study in Hung Dao School which is one of the best schools of QuanG Ninh. It has a stone building. It has all facilities a good school should have-well furnished classrooms, laboratories, library and playground.

As we enter the school, there is a playground to our left and a small garden to our right. When we enter the building, the Principal’s room and the office room are to the left and the staff room to the right side. These are well furnished. There are thirty four classrooms. Our labs are well equipped. Our library has books almost on all subjects. Our Librarian is also very helpful.

Our school, all schools, has a prescribed uniform. We have to wear white or cream cotton shirts, light-blue trousers, black shoes and white socks. Girls have to wear white blouses and light-blue skirts in primary and middle classes and white shirts and light-grey skirts in higher classes. They have to tie white ribbon also.

In our school special attention is paid to behavior, cleanliness and punctuality. The most well behaved, neat and punctual student is awarded a prize at the Annual Day function.

Our Principle is a strict disciplinarian. He takes the help of P. T. Teachers too. If any one violates the rules, and is not in uniform, or makes mischief, he gets punished. But he is fair and loving. He tries to find out the reason and guides us.

Our teachers are also quite strict. They teach us with great care, check our note-books, help us when we need but if we are inattentive and don’t work properly, then we are punished.

I my school very much and I am proud that I belong to it. I shall never forget it.

I and Hung are team mates in our school’s soccer team, and that is the reason we became best friends. At first we did not know each other, but we quickly became close after just a few weeks. Hue is a city which is filled mostly by trees, so the weather here is very cool, fresh and quiet. However, the city is not less busy and crowded than others.
