we arrived in Rome at 10 o'clock yesterday morning. We stayed in a little hotel not far from the city centre. We have already seen St Peter's and tomorrow we will go on a trip to Pompeii. I have been there before. I used to go to Italy quite often when I was a child, but it will be interesting to see whether it have changed in any way.

I'm sorry, I couldn't write the letter to you earlier because I'm very busy. Now, we are staying in a small hotel near the shopping area in district 10. Near the hotel, there is a cinema, a bank, a supermarket and some cafés. There are some big shops at the end of the street. It is also very noisy here....
