Hello my name is Ngoc. Today, I would like to introduce about my neighbourhood. My neighbourhood is in Quang Tri province. It is noisy but it is clean and convenient. There are Shops, Schools, Restaurants, hotels, market and so on. The streets are busy and crowded during the day. I like restaurants best because the food are very good. The people here are very friendly and kind. I like living here so much because every thing I need is only five minutes away.

I have a closest friend and her name is Mary. She is twelve years old and she is a student at Le Loi secondary school. She s listening to music and she often listen it in her free time.Her favorite subject is English and she good at learning English. Every day she and I go to school together because we are classmates.In the afternoon, she stays at home, so she helps her mother with the housework. I have a bestfiend and also a neighborhood whoes name is Tuan. His age is the same as mine but he looks older than me. Because he’s very tall and thin, everybody calls him “a palm”. Tuan has a short curly hair and beautiful chestnut brown eyes that appeal of many girls. He is a person of very few words that makes him to be a good listener. Anyone, who has ever contacted with Tuan, thinks about him as a glacial boy. In fact he’s really warm and nice. He’s willing to help people whenever possible. When I was in secondary school, I found Math was very difficult to understand but Tuan solved the Math problems so fast. He spent all seven nights of weeks to help me in Math while he could go out to relax. Tuan was a good all-rounder exception English. Most of the teachers in school and parents highly appreaciated his talent. Only a month ago, he received two full scholarships from America Government to study oversea but he has not yet decided whether he should go or not. Although he has not spent much time to take part in sport activities, he is a well football player. We were in Ha Noi Young Football Team when we were in grade 10. Everything seems perfect to my bestfriend but he’s very modest and always talks to himself to give more effort. I’m proud of Tuan and pray for the good things beside him forever.

After stress and pressure in life, one always has a place to come back called home. I love decorating my own bedroom. My bedroom is on the second floor near my parents’ bedroom. There is a double bed for my younger sister and me. I usually lie above her so that it is easier for me to study late at night without annoying her. The room has a big wood wardrobe, which contains all of our clothes such as: dress, jean, t-shirt and sock. Beside, my mother bought us a dressing table on my 15^th birthday; therefore, I put all the makeup-stuff and bandeau here. In the corner stand a large bookshelf in order to store books, academic document as well as family passe-partout. Next to it is a table with a desktop so as to help us investigate more knowledge on the internet. My sister and I really enjoy decorating the room with sker such as: mickey, boo bear, hello kitty, angry bird and so on. Beside, we also sk glow-in-the-dark tape on the ceiling and it turn out to light when darkness comes. Moreover, the room is designed with pink and deep blue so it brings us cozy and fresh feeling when putting step into it. The bathroom is in my room too. It is quite small but always clean and restful as we tidy it up every week. My father suggests having a bathtub; however, we don’t agree since we enjoy having a shower instead of lying in tub. Bedroom is a resting place after a hard studying day; hence we always clean it up so that it is neat and comfortable.

The summer before my junior year in high school, my family and I took a trip to a completely new world. Being from a small town, I had never really been exposed to the elements of a large city such as New York City. My trip there was like discovering an entirely new way of life that I had only heard stories of previously.

For about the tenth time the morning of the flight, I checked my room to make sure I didn’t leave anything essential behind. My stomach was doing flips as we arrived at the airport and made our way to the gate. It didn’t get much better than this: I watched through the window as the runway zoomed by and the buildings and houses became smaller and smaller as the plane gained altitude. An exhilarating feeling overcame me as I realized that I would soon be in one of the most amazing cities of the United States.

As we stood waiting for a taxi outside of the airport, it was immediately apparent to me that New York City was not the same as New Caney, Texas. It seemed like everyone there was in a hurry to get to another place. The loud and constant sound of cars honking was heard throughout the entire trip. As soon as a car seemed to be going slower than the person behind him liked, he would hear the horn of that car to let him know that he was apparently holding everybody else up! When we found our hotel in Times Square, I noticed that it wasn’t just the cars that were in a hurry. Everyone in the streets was walking at a brisk pace that indicated a rush to be somewhere. The transportation of the city was also far different than anything that I had ever been exposed to. In my little town, a bike, a car, or even walking was perfectly suitable for getting around town, but in this foreign land, there were many more ways for one to get to another destination. Everywhere you looked, there were people hailing taxis, waiting on buses, rushing underground to the subway stations, walking frantically, or desperately trying to maneuver their own cars through the busy streets. Just standing and watching the many people rushing their own separate ways was an interesting observation.

In addition to the people and transportation, the buildings were also an incredible sight. Each street was crammed with buildings that were built side by side with no room in between them, and a number of skyscrapers were present throughout the city as well. I was awestruck again as we went inside some of these buildings such as the Empire State Building and made our way towards the top. Standing outside of one of the top stories of the Empire State Building was awesome. I could hold the entire city in my hand from this view. I could even see Ellis Island a distance away from there. The stores were also large compared to the ones of my little town. A small retail store in New Caney would be a huge store that took up an entire building in New York. This would make it seem logical that the prices of everything in New York were almost triple those back home. It was as if the little peaceful neighborhood where I lived was magnified by 100 to make up the wonder city of New York.

My visit to New York City was a life changing experience. For the first time in my life, I was exposed to a little taste of what the real world is like. The incredible modes of transportation, the huge skyscrapers, and all of the thousands of people made me anxious to grow up and perhaps move to an incredible city such as this one. Either way, my first trip to New York was one of the most incredible experiences of my life, one I will always treasure.

I was born and grown up on the poor land in Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province. That’s where deeply attaches to me 24 years of life. If anyone who asks me that “What’s the thing your most proud of?” .I will answer that’s my hometown. Duc Tho is the land poor where the people live by rice cultivation, breeding, and fishing. Although the life is very difficult, but the people is very friendly, and studious. In Duc Tho, there is a Tung Anh village where called “Doctor village”. Duc Tho is also the home of Tran Phu Secretary General, and marked many memories of the great leader Ho Chi Minh.

If you come to Duc Tho, you will feel many interesting things, visiting Tran Phu tombstone, La Giang dyke, rowing on La driver, and enjoying the traditional songs. In the evening, they can enjoy a special food which is “mussel rice” – just only eat one time, you will never forget.

Beautiful and unobtrusive! Duc Tho always tries to grow, and to improve the life of people, but keeping the traditional culture.

She rarely has time to relax and take care of herself, but some of her favorite things to do when she has any spare time are reading novels, watching romantic movies, and chatting with us. I know she works under a lot of pressures, so I always talks to her about funny and interesting things at my school, and she seems to enjoy my stories very much. My mother is such a great woman when she can be both a good supervisor and a good mother. I love her a lot, and she is my goal to strive for my future.

Last summer, I had an unforgettable summer holiday with my family in Dalat. Dalat is about 300 km to the north of HCM city. This city is famous for its roman places, bright weather and delicious food. Additionally, it is known as love city in VN because it attracts large number of couples to visit, peaceful and beautiful landscape. When my family got there, we hired a hotel room in city center near Ho Xuan Huong lake and walked by the lake every nights. Beside, we also had good time to take part in several outdoor activities such as: visiting night market, flower park; tasting spring roll and soy milk. My sister and I brought many souvenirs from a store in order to give them for our friends and relatives. In second day, my family had a chance to visit Clay Village- a mini model, which describes ancient and modern Dalat. The construction is a masterpiece of art and attracts both Vietnamese and foreign tourists. Moreover, there is Langbiang so that visitors can hike climbing and enjoy roasted meats at the top of the mountain. However, my family chose to move by a jeep because nobody wants to be exhausted when getting there. It’s such a wonderful sightseeing trip. In the next few days, we went to Crazy House, which used to belong to Hang Nga- daughter of Truong Chinh. The villa has strange architecture with unique style as a mysterious castle. The tourists are really impressed with this house. After a week in Dalat, we decided to come back home. My parents go back to work at the office and I go bạck to school for a new year study. It’s an enjoyable holiday and I hope having a chance to go back Dalat in a near future.

Ngoài ra, chúng tôi còn tham gia vào rất nhiều hoạt động giải trí ngoài trời như: đi chợ đêm, vườn hoa và ăn nem uống sữa đậu nành. Chị tôi và tôi còn mua rất nhiều quà lưu niệm tại các của hàng để làm quà tặng bạn bè và người thân. Vào ngày thứ hai, cả gia đình tham quan làng đất sét- mô hình thu nhỏ của ĐL xưa và nay. Công trình này là một tuyệt tác nghệ thuật thu hút không chủ khách VN mà còn du khách nứơc ngoài. ĐL còn có núi Langbiang cho mọi người đi bộ và thưởng thức thịt nướng ngay trên đỉnh núi. Tuy nhiên, gia đình chúng tôi chọn cách di chuyển bằng xe zip bởi vì không ai muốn mệt mỏi khi leo tới đỉnh núi. Đó là một cuộc thưởng ngoạn tuyệt vời. Vào những ngày tiếp theo, chúng tôi có dịp tham quan nhà kì quái, từng thuộc về bà Hằng Nga- con gái bí thư Trường Chinh. Ngôi biệt thự có kiến trúc lạ với phong cách độc đáo như những toà lâu đài huyền bí. Khách du lịch rất ấn tượng trước ngôi nhà này. Sau 1 tuần ở ĐL chúng tôi quay trở về nhà. Bố mẹ lại quay lại làm việc tại văn phòng còn tôi bắt đầu 1 năm học mới. Đó là kì nghỉ thực sự thú vị và tôi mong sẽ có dịp được quay trở lại ĐL.

Everybody loves holidays because during our holidays we can relax and have fun. We get enough time to travel, play our favorite sports and prace our hobbies. My Favorite holiday is Last Holiday. Below I will tell you about my last holiday.

I had always dreamed about going to XYZ (name of a city) and near places. On 27th July I , my family departed ABC (name of a district) towards our first destination, XYZ . As soon as we reached there after a long journey, I was stunned by the beautiful scenic views that I only saw in pictures. I was totally lost in the scenic views that I forgot to blink my eyes. We stayed in the 5-star hotel in front of the beach. Next day, we hired a boat for a trip to see small islands. It was simply amazing.We swam all day and return our Hotel. Following day we hired a car and saw historical place, visited museum and doing shopping. It was a beautiful and excited.The holiday was a perfect.

We did so many activities which included Swimming, Football, Scuba diving, Boat trip,Visiting museum, Paragliding etc. We also watched the sunrise of BBB summit, it was very roman. It was the most amazing and spectacular experience of my life that I was stunned by God’s creation of a heaven- place on earth. Our journey ended on 4th of August. On our way back we traveled by bus again. During the trip I thought, ‘Those days were amazing and unforgettable, I wished if I had more days to spend over there’. 

My holiday was exciting and full of joy. I enjoyed it immensely. I am looking forward to going there again soon.

I dream of a neighborhood where it is safe and full of big green trees. A neighborhood where kids are safe to run around. My dreamed neighborhood would have houses with only one or two levels so everyone can enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunset. The tall buildings narrow our view of the vast blue sky. Each house in the neighborhood should have a big front and back lawn. Everyone should take a good care of their lawn to make the neighborhood looks nice. All of the houses in the neighborhood should have central air so that when the weather is too hot to bear, you can use the air conditioning. When it's freezing cold out, you can use the heater to warm the house up. There should be a school and a park nearby so that the kids can walk to fun places. These are the characteriss of my dreamed neighborhood. 

In my family, my mother is the one you love the most. This year my mother is over thirty years old but my mother is very young. Petite figure. Face oval, radiant. Black hair is always neatly combed. Her black eyes looked at me so kindly and affectionately. Usually my mother wakes up early to clean up and prepare breakfast for my family. Mom cooks very well, I like most shrimp soup of mother cooking. In the evening, my mother taught me to study , which I do not understand, my mother told me right away. Then my mother put me to sleep with the fairy tale mother told me, giving wings for beautiful dreams. I love my mother very much .
