My name is Quynh. I’m from Vietnam. I live in Quang Tri Province, Hai Lang District. I was born in January 14^th 2005. I’m 12 years old. I go to Hai Lang Secondary school. I like cycling most because it gives me freedom. I don’t like playing games because it's not good for our health. In my free time, I often learn on hoc24. After school, I often play badminton with my friends or just read book and listen to music. My best friend is Anh because she is funny, polite, kind and active. My favourite subject is Art because I like drawing. My favourite kpop group is BTS because their songs aren`t just cheesy love\break-up songs, but instead touch some really important subjects - youth, temptation, education, death. Their choreography is always on point, their relationship is good, too. I have one brother. In the future, I’d like to become a tour-guide. I like it because of the following reasons. Firstly, being a tour-guide, I can have a chance to travel to many different places in our country as well as around the world. I will know a lot of people and their cultures. Secondly, because I am fond of eating, I will be able to enjoy many kinds of food such as pho, sushi from Japan, curry from India and spicy soup from Thailand. Finally, it is a hot career nowadays and people can earn a lot of money through this job. To sum up, to be a tour guide is the best choice for my future job.

My family has 3 people, including dad, mom and me. My father is 42 years old this year, he is working in an electrical factory. Dad has a tall, muscular body and dark skin because he spends a lot of time in the sun. Dad has a few gray hairs because he has to earn money to take care of the family. My mother is 40 years old and sells clothes and jewelry. Her mother's body is petite, with shoulder-length hair, round eyes and rosy lips. As for me, I'm 17 years old and still going to school. I have curly hair unlike my parents. My height is not very tall, but I'm quite good at studying. Even though my parents are busy, they still care about me, often buy me clothes, food, and often take me out. In my family, we have several routines to follow. One of them is having breakfast together. Every morning, we get up at six. My sister and I help my mum prepare breakfast. My mum often cooks rice, meat or fish, and vegetables for breakfast. Sometimes we have bread, eggs and butter for a change. She say a big meal in the early morning will help us work or study better during the day. My dad gets up a bit late and helps with laying the table. At about 6:45, we all sit down and have the meal together. During breakfast, we talk about what each of us is going to do during the day. My parents sometimes give us some advice about how we should behave at school. At 7:30, we all leave home for work or school. 1. Describe a friend

My best friend is Lan. We have known each other since we were 10 years old. However we became best friends when we were at grade 7. At that time I was very bad at English and it was who helped me improve my English. Now she lives with her parents in Nguyen Trai street.

If I were to describe how she looks I would say she is very pretty. She has long black hair a straight nose and a small pointed chin. She is quite slim. She doesn t like to dress up so I usually see her wearing jeans and a T - shirt. She has a very nice personality and a wonderful sense of humour but she can also get a little depressed from time to time. I can always count on her to be honest and to give me the best advice.

What I like about Lan is that she has same hobbies with me. We both enjoy singing karaoke reading comic books and going shopping. We like going to the cinema but sometimes can t agree on which movie to see. In addition since I am better in Maths and Chemistry and she is better in English and languages we can always help each other if we get confused about a difficult homework assignment. We are so lucky that we get along so well. I hope that our friendship can last long.

2. Describe a room in your house

My favorite room in my house is my bedroom. My bedroom is my man cave, spa, and gym. It's my man cave because me and my cousins hang out in that room. It's my spa because I realax in that room like if it was a spa. It's a gym because thats were I have my bench, dumb bells and punching bag. Sleeping in another room is nothing like sleeping in my room. I fixed up my own room. I painted it white and dark lime green, It's pattern'd. I have a 40 inch led hdtv plasma tv. My iguana cage makes my room cooler. I wanted my room to have tile on the floor. It doesn't matter any more now that were moving from that house. Were not moving far at all, it's only like a block away.

3. Talk about your family

Our family is large (small, not very large). We are the family of five (three, four, five, six): my mother, my father, two my brother and I. My mother's name is … She is … years old. She is a farmer(a teacher a doctor, a worker, an engineer). She is a very nice, kind and clever woman. My father's name is ... He is ... years old. We are a very good family. We love each other very much. In the evenings, when all the members of our family get together after work and study, we like to watch TV, to read books and newspapers, to talk about different things and to discuss all our problems together. When the weather is good we sometimes go for a walk. We have a small house in the country with a garden and a kitchen-garden. There is much work there and on week-ends we go there and work and have rest all together.

4. Talk about your hobbies. Why ?

Like everyone, I have my private hobbies. I have many hobbies such as watching horror films, reading novels, listening to music e.t.c But I like traveling best. Firstly, when I have to study or work too much, I usually feel tired and bored,so I want to refesh myself and travelling is a good way for me to relax.Secondly, travelling helps me widen my knowledge because I can pick up a lot of different cultures and study so much from them.Besides,I can learn foreign languages when I travel abroad. On the other hand, travelling makes my life more interesting because I can meet lots of people all over the world and make new friends.Finally, I can admire true beauty and enjoy it when I go to different places. However, it's hard for me to travel abroad because I'm always busy studying and I don't have much money.To sum up, I love travelling very much because it not only cheer me up but also keep my eyes open.

5. Talk about your village/town

I was born in a quiet village where the influence of the city is not much. It is a small village with a population of about two thousand people. It is a very good place for relaxation indeed.

In my village, people live very close to each another. The people are very simple in thought and behavior. Therefore they are friendly and helpful . So, the crimes of the city are almost unknown in my village. The people work together and live in peace. I love them. My village is surrounded by paddy-fields and a river. All these add great beauty and variety to my village scene. Although I do not like growing rice, but I really like the fields. It makes me have a good mood, a peace mood and a relaxed mood.

Now I am living in Hanoi capital. I want to come back my hometown very much. Living among such friendly and simple people, in such a quiet village, is indeed a real pleasure.

In my family, preparing for Tet, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, is a joyous and vibrant affair. Days before the celebration, we engage in thorough cleaning of our homes, symbolizing the removal of any bad luck from the previous year. Our family members come together to decorate the house with colorful flowers, particularly peach blossoms and kumquat trees, which are believed to bring prosperity and good fortune. Traditional foods like sticky rice cakes and candied fruits are prepared with love and care, ensuring that our ancestral spirits are honored. We also take the time to offer incense and prayers at our family altar, expressing gratitude for the past year and seeking blessings for the year ahead. Overall, the preparations for Tet in my family are filled with warmth, unity, and a deep appreciation for our cultural heritage.

Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked,offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sticks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.
