where I live there are many festivals. but the most fun festivals here as Tet. people gathergather together. clean the house together.although tired but very happy to play withrelatives. we go out together in the HolyTemple. wear long travel we attend. in youdoes pretty well.

I used to attend the Tet Holiday Flower festival. It’s called Nguyen Hue Flower street Festival. It is held in Nguyen Hue Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. It takes place every Tet Holiday for 1 week. It is celebrated by Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee. They display and decorate the street with many kinds of flowers and lights. Many people come there to enjoy the beautiful flowers and take pictures.

Mid-Autumn Festival is under the full moon day of the lunar calendar every year in August, over 4,000 years ago. This is the day children’s festival, also known as the “Festival looks Moon”. Children are expected Tet is because adults are often donated toys, usually light. His star, mask, light pull troops … and pies, cakes plastic. Besides the Tet Holiday, Mid-Autumn festival is one of the most famous festivals and it is a traditional celebration for Vietnamese children.

In this new year, we organized presentation deck, looks moon. Everywhere is fallen in the active and colorful air. Children are provided with many nice lanterns – star lanterns, flower lanterns and diverse funny masks for special performance in the evening of the full moon. In some areas, people also held dragon dance, lion dance to the children happy. The main point of the Mid-Autumn is that children use the beautiful lanterns, wear funny masks, perform fantastic lion dances and sing folklore songs in the house’s grounds or on the streets when the moon is rising.

In Vietnam, Moon cakes are the specific cakes and are only on this festival. Moon cakes, which are made from flavor, dried fruit, meat, egg, pumpkin’s seed, peanut, are so sweet and good tasting. Moon cakes symbolize Luck, Happiness, Health and Wealth on the Mid-Autumn day.

Mid-Autumn celebration is also an opportunity for members of the family to get together and share everything in their year. The young generation express their gratitude to the old generation. The parents show their love for their children. For others, because the traditional time to have this festival is usually after harvesting the crops, it is as the congratulation for the full harvest.

Apart from moon cakes and lanterns, the other most visible tradition related to Mid-Autumn festival is the lion dance. On the nights leading up to the holiday, groups of children parade through the streets – some of the children maintain a martial beat on drums, while others control an extravagantly decorated ‘lion’ crafted from molds and paper.

The children approach homes and businesses and ask the owners for their permission to perform. If they agree, the children put on a show that is believed to bring a blessing of luck and fortune. Afterwards the host gives the children lucky money as a sign of gratitude.

Christmas is well known all around the world for its special features. It occurs on 24 and 25th December but it starts from the beginning of the month. In Vietnam, Christmas has become more and more popular, especially to young people. On this day, people often decorate their houses and prepare presents,…Even so, many households in big cities buy the Christmas tree. They prepares and decorates it with colorful electric lights, gifts and and small bells. Children also love Christmas day so much. They prepare clean stocks for receiving the presents from the Santa Claus. Under the cover of darkness on 25th December night, people often go to the church to pray for best things or gather to share happiness together. In conclusion, Christmas day has become one of the most popular festivals in our country, brings a new color to the picture of a civilized religious culture in Viet Nam

Năm năm trước, tôi đã tham dự lễ hội rất lớn tại Hà Nội. Nó được gọi là 1000 Lễ kỷ niệm Thăng Long - Hà Nội Festival. Có rất nhiều hoạt động trong lễ hội này như pháo hoa trưng bày, cuộc diễu hành quân sự, âm nhạc biểu diễn, ect. Nó được tổ chức rất tuyệt vời bởi vì ban tổ chức là người Việt Chính phủ Nam. Hàng triệu người đã đến Hà Nội tham gia lễ hội lớn này. Đó là được tổ chức trong mười ngày từ ngày 1 tháng 10 năm 2015 đến 10 tháng 10 năm 2015. Tôi thấy rất nhiều pháo hoa, các bên, diễu hành trong những ngày này. Đó là hấp dẫn. Tôi đã chụp rất nhiều hình ảnh về điều này lễ hội vì có rất nhiều cảnh đẹp cảnh. Chúng tôi tổ chức lễ hội lớn này kỷ niệm 1000 năm Thăng Long - Hà Nội.

Vào những ngày đầu mùa xuân, làng em lại náo nức tổ chức ngày hội xuân với những hoạt động vui chơi hấp dẫn. Trong đó, được nhiều người mong chờ nhất chính là ngày thứ ba của hội xuân: ngày hội đấu vật.

Ngày hội đấu vật chính là ngày mà các đấu sĩ đấu vật tham gia thi đấu, tìm ra người mạnh nhất. Để chuẩn bị cho ngày hội này, các tuyển thủ đã ra sức tập luyện chăm chỉ suốt cả năm. Danh sách và thứ tự thi đấu đã được chọn lựa và sắp xếp một cách công bằng thông qua việc bốc thăm từ cả tháng trước đó. Tuy chỉ là hội thi của làng, nhưng không phải ai muốn thi cũng được đâu nhé. Ban giám khảo sẽ thống nhất những tiêu chí về hình thể, kĩ năng và cả lịch sử thi đấu để chọn những người đủ khả năng vào thi ở ngày hội.

Vào ngày hội, người dân kéo nhau đến xem đông lắm, thậm chí có cả những người xứ khác nữa. Họ tụ tập quanh sân đấu, say mê ngắm nhìn và cổ vũ nhiệt tình. Thậm chí có người sau hôm đó, về nhà bị khàn cả giọng. Trên sân đấu có nền cát, từng cặp đấu sĩ bắt đầu lên sân. Họ để mình trần, đóng khố - trang phục dân dã của người Việt xưa. Sau tiếng trống ra hiệu của trọng tài, họ lao vào nhau, cầm vai, cầm chân, ra sức vật ngã đối phương. Tất cả sức mạnh, kĩ xảo đều được đem ra sử dụng. Chẳng mấy chốc mà ai cũng vã mồ hôi, ánh lên dưới nắng xuân phơi phới. Cuối cùng, sẽ có người thắng kẻ thua, nhưng dù là ai cũng có một nụ cười hạnh phúc trên môi. Bởi họ đến tham gia hội thi là để giao lưu, làm quen với người cùng chí hướng, chứ không phải chỉ vì phần thưởng.

Với em, ngày hội đấu vật là lễ hội mà em yêu thích nhất. Bởi nó đã truyền cho em những nhiệt huyết tươi mới, giúp em có thêm động lực để rèn luyện bản thân.

Last year, we had a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration with all friends at school on Friday evening, the 15^th of lunar August. In a large yard, we organized amazing activities and competitions such as Mid-Autumn Miss, Funny Quizzes, Cutest Singers and many others. We also made donations to the orphans in the nearby community. The festival lasted 4 hours.
Of all activities, Cutest Singers was the most interesting and unforgettable competition in the festival. Each class in school had two members, one boy and one girl, taking part in the contest. One special thing was that both the boy and girl need to be cute and good at singing. They were all on stage to sing, dance and show their talent. But the funniest moment was when we played blind man's bluff in which the boy had to find the exact girl in his class without seeing her. Finally, the boy and girl of class 8A were the Cutest Singers winners. The Principal awarded the first prize to them. I think the festival was a special occasion for me and all of my friends in school to play a variety of activities and understand one another more thoroughly.

The festival i joined last year was bikaner camels festival. It's held in January every. People celebrate it in bikaner, a city in India. Local people and tourists around the world can take part in this festival. It's celebrated because it's a competiton for camels decorating. During the festival, camels owners will show off their camels. I think it's an interesting festival and you should join it once in your life.

Indian Festival

The Milwaukee Native American Indian Festival is truly and amazing event. For three days in September every year, thousands gather in Milwaukee, USA, to celebrate Indian culture. Last year, I was lucky enough to attend the festival and experience it for myself.

The preparations take months. Dance teams from all over the country practise to compete in the tribal Pow Wow dance contest. Indian craftsmen work to produce the many traditional items on display. Then, in the week before the festival, the stalls are put up and the food is prepared, so that everything will be ready for the big day.

The celebrations began at 4pm and there was plenty to see and do. I visited a traditional Indian village, watched skilled craftsmen carve totem poles, and even learned how to do tribal Indian dancing. It was also a great opportunity to sample some traditional native dishes, like corn bread and buffalo burgers.

The festival was fun, entertaining and educational. It was a wonderful way to learn about Native American culture and celebrate the end of summer.

In Vietnam the Mid-Autumn Festival, known as Tet Trung Thu in Vietnamese, is one of the country's mostimportant holidays, along with Vietnamese Lunar New Year, and National Day, etc. Tet Trung Thu usually takes place on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month. In 2014, it was on September 8th.

The traditions surrounding this holiday date back thousands of years, and they place a huge emphasis onchildren. It is thought that the festival was originally celebrated to give parents time to catch up with their children after the summer harvest was completed. Children were believed to be the purest and most innocent, and thus they were the closest connection to the sacred and natural world.

The Mooncake Festival

Today, the approach of Mid-Autumn is signaled by the appearance of stalls selling mooncakes all over the country's streets. These cakes are very rich and are often filled with varied ingredients. Mooncakes are the most important traditional food related to Tet Trung Thu, and they are extremelyly popular.

Year by year, the Mid-Autumn mooncake stands increase in number. Boxes of mooncakes are often presented as gifts before the approaching of the holiday.

Perhaps the best place in Vietnam to observe Tet Trung Thu is Hoi An, a historical town in the central region of the country. The town is densely packed with shops, providing a prime target for lion dancers. The river running through town is covered in floating lanterns, and the atmosphere is extremely magical.

In other parts of Vietnam, the festival is largely enjoyed by children and young people. The kids go around the local areas with different types of lanterns in hands, whereas the youth prefer to go out with friends to have a dinner or a few drinks.

Occasionally we might even see a dragon, the most sacred of all animals, which is controlled by well trained dancers. The dance often attracts a huge crowd, and once in a while the man who carries the animal's head set off a firework through the dragon's mouth and thrilling the crowd. It is a MUST that this tradition needs to be kept alive.
