New Year day is one of the most widely celebrated festivals in our country. This is the occasion that people celebrates with great joy, hope, festivity and different cultural and other programs.

New Year is the time when a new calendar year begins and the year count is incremented. According to the Gregorian calendar, this festival falls on the first January each year.

People start the arrangement to celebrate this festival about one week prior to the 1st January. On the 31st night, people gather together, eat western foods and sometimes the traditional foods, make prayer for the prosperity of for the New Year and stay awake till late night to enjoy the night.

In my country, people groom well in the first January. To some extent, people believe that the first January is important to them as it the starting of a new year. They believe that remaining happy, eating good foods and wearing nice clothes would make them happy and prosperous for the whole year.

People greet others, give and receive gifts, visit the amusement parks and do many other activities. Some fares held on for the occasion and a great gathering is observed there. So of the big trade fares, book fares start on the 1st day of the year.

This is an important festival to us. We along with the whole world take this day as an important festival day. In our tradition, we start the year with the hope of eliminating the bitterness and failure of the past year and start a fresh year with the hope of fortune and happiness.

There are many interesting festival in Vietnam. But one of them I like best is Tet holiday. It is traditonal festival. It coured in late January and early February, when the spring comes . Tet holiday is celebrated in every year. It held in a traditonal way. Before Tet holiday, Vietnamese people decorate, clean the house. They also go to the markets to buy peach blossom, Kum Quat trees because it is the symbol of Tet holiday and the spring. Moreover, they buy many things: candies, cake, fruit, new clothes,... The man often stay at home to make Chung cake because of its traditonal food. At Tet, people often visit relative . Children get lucky money from adult. Some people go to pagoda to bring to luck. In family member, Tet helps them love each other more.I feel very happy and relax. I love Tet holiday.

Mid-Autumn Festival is a famous festival of Vietnam. On this occasion, children are the main characters to sing, carry lanterns, watch lion dances and sit together to eat sweets and drink soft drinks. The Mid-Autumn Festival is also considered a non-horror version of Halloween, where children will have fun holding lanterns with fairy-tale characters and different cartoon characters. Sweets do not need to beg and say "Give candy or be teased", at the middle school festival, most children are prepared with candy to have fun and eat as much as they want. This is one of the oldest festivals from ancient times to now, I'm sure other people from abroad will also enjoy this festival.

Every year in Vietnam in the first week of the third lunar month, the festival is March 3, tourists from all over the world eagerly make pilgrimages to Phu Day Festival, the place to worship Holy Mother Lieu Hanh, the sacred mother of the Vietnamese nation. One of my favourite festival it is Tet.This is an interesting holiday.It is held for us to worship our ancestors.Tet is held on the 1st to the 10th day of the 1st lunar month.Before Tet,we will have the preparing.It would take a week  or two.The house will be repainted and will be decorated by decorations,kumpuat trees,apricot or peach blossoms.Then on the 29th of the 12th lunar month,we will watch Tao Quan on VTV Go.And when the time come,we 'll do the count down from 10 to 1 as the clock finally stroke 12.The sky will be shine beautyfully by the firework display.There are alot of great activities and I can't tell them all.By the way,Tet is coming soon.HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
