Tet holiday is celebated on the first day of the Lunar New Year. Some weeks before the New Year, the Vietnamese clean their houses and paint the walls. New clothes are bought for the occasion. One or two days before the festival , people cook Banh Chung, which is the traditional cake, and other goodies.

On the New Year's Eve; the whole family gets together for a reunion dinner. Every member of family should be present during the dinner in which many different kinds of dishes are served. 

On the New Year morning, the young members receive, the family pay their respects to the elders. In the return they of lucky money wrapped in red tiny envelops. Then people visit their neighbours, friends and relatives.

Dear my close friend. I was very sad to hear you was having flu. But don't worry, you just stay at home. I will come to your house and give you some books. You should drink medicine and get rest sufficiently. I wish you would recover soon. So take care of your health and get well soon. We are waiting for your return to school. I was born and grew up on my hometown, which is Thach Thanh, Thanh Hoa district, a midland and rolling hills. Occasionally there are several narrow valleys under the foothills, forming small, beautiful fields. It seems all year round, the season, the season, the end of the potato to corn cassava. It's great to know that you're coming to Viet Nam. What a pity you can spend one day in Ha Noi.

There are so many interesting places in the city, but I think within :ne day you should be able to visit three places. The first place I suggest is Viet Nam National Museum of History. You like history, so it's a must-see place. There's an extensive collection of artefacts tracing ret Sam's history. They're arranged chronologically from primitive to modem times. The second place is Hoan Kiem Lake. It's one of the symbols of Ha Noi. There you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and visit Ngoc Son Temple. You can also have a look at the Old Quarter. Wander around the old streets and some ancient houses to explore Vietnamese culture.Conveniently, these places are close to one another, so we can walk around easily.

   Dear Lan !

   How are you ? Do you remember me ? I'm Nhi.Today . I write a letter for you to tell about my first day at my new school. Oh , the first week so excited .

   I have many many new friends and I meet a lot of new teachers.They are very kind and nice to me.At school , I study many interesting subject such as : Maths , English , Music , Science , Geography , ect , ....

   I also have new notebooks , a new calculator , new pens and a new uniform of course. My new school starts from 1 o'clock to 5'15 p.m .In the afternoon , we study 5 lessons. Also , we can join many creative and interesting clubs in the morning . When I and my friends have free tim , we often go to the library to study . So , we have a lot of fun together. How about you ? What do you feel about your first day at school ? Do you study the same subjects as me ?
