\(=x^5+x^4+x^3-x^4-x^3-x^2+x^2+x+1\)
\(=x^3\left(x^2+x+1\right)-x^2\left(x^2+x+1\right)+\left(x^2+x+1\right)\)
\(=\left(x^2+x+1\right)\left(x^3-x^2+1\right)\)
c) \(x^8+x+1\)
\(=x^8+x^7+x^6-x^7-x^6-x^5+x^5+x^4+x^3-x^4-x^3-x^2+x^2+x+1\)
\(=x^6\left(x^2+x+1\right)-x^5\left(x^2+x+1\right)+x^3\left(x^2+x+1\right)-x^2\left(x^2+x+1\right)+\left(x^2+x+1\right)\)

a) \(\left(x^2-x+1\right)\left(x^2-x+2\right)-12\)
\(=\left(x^2-x\right)^2+3\left(x^2-x\right)+2-12\)
\(=\left(x^2-x\right)^2+5\left(x^2-x\right)-2\left(x^2-x\right)-10\)
\(=\left(x^2-x\right)\left(x^2-x+5\right)-2\left(x^2-x+5\right)\)
\(=\left(x^2-x+5\right)\left(x^2-x-2\right)\)
\(=\left(x-2\right)\left(x+1\right)\left(x^2-x+5\right)\)
b) \(\left(x^2+x\right)^2+4\left(x^2+x\right)-12\)
\(=\left(x^2+x\right)^2+6\left(x^2+x\right)-2\left(x^2+x\right)-12\)
\(=\left(x^2+x+6\right)\left(x^2+x-2\right)\)
\(=\left(x+2\right)\left(x-1\right)\left(x^2+x+6\right)\)
c) \(x^2-6x+8\)
\(=x^2-6x+9-1\)
\(=\left(x-3\right)^2-1\)
\(=\left(x-4\right)\left(x-2\right)\)
