By reading, I get better at concentration because it requires me to focus on what I am reading for long periods. It also opens up the knowledge door for me. I remember writing two essays and taking one grammar lesson in all of grade 12, which pissed me off because I actually give half a damn about grammar/reading/writing proper essays, not drawing a poster about a book, an actual essay. Hell, I can remember we watched the Beowulf movie two times because three people were sick when we watched it
