Once upon a time, there was an old rich man who had five children. Because they’d been spoiled since they were young, they were lazy and dependent. In their maturity, each of them all had their own property and fortune. Despite that fact, they were always jealous for the heredity of each others. Even though, the father had tried to talk them out, it was useless. For that reason, he was really sad and hurt.
Not so long after that, the father found out that he was seriously ill. He knew that he would not make it through. One day, he gathered his children and told the servant to bring a bunch of chopsticks. His children did not know what their father’s purpose was. The father told his children to break that bunch of chopstick at once. No matter how hard they tried, it did not work. Then, the father said: “Try to break those chopsticks one by one”. Immediately, his children was easily able to break that bunch of chopsticks. The father said:
– My children, compare yourself to that bunch of chopsticks. If you work together as a team, nobody can defeat you. If you only care about yourself, you are nothing but the one who will be defeated and lonely in life. If you were united and loving each others, i could rest in peace.
After listening to their father, they understood what their father taught. They regreted for what they had done. After that, they lived unitedly in peace and loved each other

– Đúng! Như thế là các con đều thấy rằng chia lẻ ra thì yếu, hợp lại thì mạnh. Vậy các con phải biết đoàn kết và đùm bọc lấy nhau, có đoàn kết thì mới có sức mạnh.Cả bốn người con đều hiểu ra câu nói của cha : Thưa cha, chúng con sẽ vâng lời cha dặn !
