Robots and Microrobots

Robert Wood is a National Geographic Explorer. He is also an electrical engineer. He makes many different types of robots - from robots that fly to robots you can wear. He is now working on making new robots at Harvard University.

Robert Wood teaches engineering and applied sciences at Harvard School of Engineering. He also makes robots at the university labratory. Wood is now making a very small robots called Microbots. One of these is the RoboBee. These are flying robots. They are the size of a fly. These Microrobots can go into dangerous places to help people. They can also help in growing crops and increase food production. Wood is also working on a Microbots called Millibot. Millibots look like millipede and are some of the fastest robots in the world.
