Nevertheless, your clothes are still perceived by others as clues to your attitudes and behaviours.

There is nothing more exciting than spending every Saturday afternoon running or jogging at the park, I suppose.

1. Correspondence to a friend about his upcoming touring holiday to your hometown.
- Đỗ Thanh Hải
From: Hai
Subject: touring holiday
I'm very pleased that your college friends're visiting my area for a holiday. It's now June and my village is having a festival next week, so your college friends should go there next week. When you arrive, you should visit the Long Khe Temple first because it is a national historic site in which we worship Nguyen Minh Khong and Ly Thuong Kiet. The temple is extremely beautiful. You should also go along the dike and see many rice paddies.
Besides, you can go to the centre of my area to have a rest because there is a big banyan tree there. Also, you can visit the Ngoc Dong Temple which is located in the rest of my area. The temple is bigger than Long Khe Temple, but it's not as famous as Long Khe Temple.
After you go around the area, you can join the festival with me, it may be fun. Remember to tell them to bring some bicycles because they're the most suitable way to travel around my area.
Please write to me soon and tell me when you and your friends come. I'll be willing to take you around my area.
Your friend,
Hai
2. An essay to present your opinion on whether the pollution problem can be solved.
- Komorebi
These days, we are constantly confronted with environmental issues, which are affecting almost every country in the world. However, it is possible to resolve these problems. This essay will discuss some measures to make a difference.
First of all, reducing automobile dependence is highly recommended to reduce carbon footprint. People need to use public transport more, or switch to eco-friendly vehicles. It seems to me that investing in electric transportation is beneficial to the environment. It'd be even better if the electricity came from renewable energy sources.
Secondly, we also have to take care of rivers and seas. Nowadays, some industrial zones have been discharging chemical waste into rivers, causing death to aquatic creatures. Heavier fines should be imposed on these factories. In addition, all factories are encouraged to apply green technology such as sewage treatment systems.
Last but not least, deforestation must be prevented since green trees play a pivotal role in sustaining global temperature. It is the government's responsibility to enforce stricter laws against illegal logging and raise public awareness about the importance of forests. At the same time, individuals can put effort into planting more trees.
To conclude, the problems of environmental damage can be solved once imperative measures are implemented. In my view, if we don't take action immediately, our future generations will have to migrate to another planet in order to survive.
Book review: A book in which the main character behaved in a surprising way.
- Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Thơ
''I always hated you, Mikasa'' - Eren
Holy hell, what did I just read?
- A world of nightmares and emotions
- Detailed characterization leading to unforgettable characters
- Head-spinning plot twist and unpredictable ending
That's a basic list, but Attack on Titan (AOT) is all of that and SO MUCH MORE. And I definitely say that AOT will be one of my best reads of 2021
In most action comics, things seem to be smooth and peaceful, but with AOT, the wrongdoing hits you between the eyes from the very first pages. Things started when the colossus Titan (60 metres tall) and the armoured Titan attacked Wall Maria and his hometown - Shiganshina District, where protagonist Eren Yeager impotently witnessed his mother being eaten by a Titan. Following Eren along with two other friends - Mikasa and Armin , we can see their journey to find out the truth beside 3 circular fifty-metre high walls (Maria-Rose-Shina), where humans strongly believed that they live within the safety of the walls.
Attack on Titan is incredibly detailed and captivates billions of readers . Even the side stories twist and turn, the plot seeming to change with every episode. One of its attractive details is the way Eren unhesitatingly decided to be a villain with the aim of giving his friends and people in Paradise Island optimistic lives.
No spoilers here, cause I want you all enjoy yourselves. Though AOT's ending can't make everyone completely satisfied, but its first 138 chapters are highly - appreciated as a masterpieces.
Part 1 : The table below shows the percentage of women in tertiary education in selected countries from 1998 to 2005. Describe the information in the table and make comparisons where relevant. You should write about 150 words.(30 points)
- Hoàng Hạnh Nguyễn
The given table compares the proportion of females receiving higher education in nine different nations within an 8-year period commencing in 1998.
In general, it is noticeable that Icelandic women made the largest contribution to the university student population while the opposite was true for Japanese counterparts. Additionally, except for Bulgaria, the eight remaining regions all witnessed a discernible upward trend during the time surveyed.
In detail, the figure for Bulgaria, the only area to record a significant 8% decrease, constituted roughly 52% at the end of the period. Conversely, the remainders all grew up, with the number of Icelandic women enrolling in graduate schools registered the highest level and also the widest variation, ranging from 60% in 1998 to approximately 65% in 2005. Besides, in Japan, the most moderate data was reported, hovering around 45% all the time.
Concerning the rest, the figure for Denmark began at 55.5 %, followed by a 2% increase in the end. Undergoing a slight oscillation and negligible changing patterns, the percentage of female pupils in Finland eventually reached 53.6%, which was marginally higher than that in the beginning. Moreover, Norway and Sweden experienced a virtually same tendency from the starting to the ending point, at about 56% and 59% respectively. Similarly, the US and the UK also went through a considerable rise, ending up at 57.2% in 2005.
Part 2 : Advances in technology and automation have reduced the need for manual labour. Therefore working hours should be reduced.
To what extent do you agree?
Write an essay of about 250 words to express your opinion. Give reasons for your answers and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge and experience (40 points)
- Hoàng Hạnh Nguyễn
In this modern era, substantial breakthroughs in the development of technology and mechanization have dramatically diminished the demand for blue-collar jobs. This phenomenon has raised the question of whether to decrease working time or not. This essay will put this issue under intense scrutiny and reveal my standpoint.
To begin with, as machines are capable of performing with high accuracy and productivity, organizations tend to take advantage of them in lieu of relying on conventional employment. Consequently, that numerous companies have to downsize their workforce is inevitable due to the impossibility of maintaining a vast quantity of both automation and manual labor simultaneously.
Meanwhile, the consumption market grows ceaselessly in the context of accelerating globalization, so employers have no other choice but to either preserve or increase working hours. For instance, to meet drastically soaring textile demand, textile factories still have to encourage manufacturing hours of physical labor. Otherwise, the combination of employee shrinkage and time curtailing will absolutely fail to bridge the gap between demand and supply.
Furthermore, technological inventions are chiefly generated as a useful tool to assist humans in risk-taking and demanding tasks, thus enabling them to reach work efficiency and make progress more effortlessly. Therefore, to make headway, the incessant endeavor is a decisive factor besides the exploitation of artificial intelligence. To illustrate, in Japan, one of the global economic superpowers with innovative technology, people are required to pull their weight with a tough working schedule. Alternatively, enhancement is out of reach and the whole economy will remain at the standstill or even fall into degradation.
To reiterate, the increasing consumer requirement and the economic competitiveness make it challenging to lessen the time at work. Accordingly, I totally concur with the opinion that working hours should at least be kept unchanged for the aforementioned reasons.
