Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked,offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sticks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.

My hometown is the southern plain of water and canals. Every year, boat racing festival is organized on the Lunar New Year exciting, exciting.From before the full moon day of January, people hovered a colorful flag on the bank of the wide river running through their children. Both the coast and the destination have flags, banners celebrate the new spring. On the other side of the river, many colorful balloons are hung. On the day of the launch, early in the morning the boat swimmers and relatives gathered on two sides of the river. The race was divided into three teams dressed in different colors. After the drum, the athletes paddled back across the river to reach the destination. Stretching, her cheering cheers, air wide open sky high, water. The cheering counts the rhythm, rumbling the whole river. The crew of the team also surf ice. The sound of the paddle on the water wave was drowned out by cheers of the spectator.I love my country and love my country.
