Paper is one of the materials that can be easily recycled. Recucled paper is paper that was made from paper and paper products that already been used and recovered. Firstly, we need to collect the paper materials from the collection points such as paper stores, trash bins or paper scrap yards. Then they are measured, graded for quality and hauled to recycling paper mill facilities. After that, the papers are sorted by assessing the materials or their surface treatment and structure. Once orting is finished, we need to shred the papers to break down them into small bits ad than mix with water and chemicals to turn them into slurry substance. Then, this substance will be taken through a comprehensive filtering process to get rid of any impurities like tape, glue or strings. And finally, it's paper recycling. The cleaned puld is blended with new production materials and put on a flat conveyer belt and heated surfaces to become solid. The paper sheets are then rolled. trimmed and made into many other products such as newspaper printing, wrapping papers or printing papers.

Read the passage carefully then answer the questions below:
Every day of the year throughout the world, about twenty million paper bags and newspapers are screwed and thrown away. Making paper requires a lot of wood pulp and the work of millions of workers. Many countries have had plans to recycle waste paper to save money and labor. In countries where there is the cooperation of the public, paper mills recycle as much as sixty percent of waste paper. Their simple work is to take away the ink, crush it up and make it into pulp again. For every ton of recycled newsprint, twelve trees can be saved. We can insist that the more paper people save, the more trees are preserved.

Saving the Environment: One Home at a Time
Pollution can be seen not only throughout the world, but also in our own homes. It comes from household chemicals, the amount of water people use and the waste people produce and throw away. What can be done to stop this pollution? Surprisingly, a person can help save the environment by doing simple things.
First, we need to recycle, which allows products to be used over and over again. Recycling can also reduce the number of trees cut down to produce paper products. It takes very little effort. It is not hard to place plastic and glass bottles, aluminum cans and paper in a bin. Anyone can do it.
Second, we need to watch the amount of water used at home. It can be conserved by taking short showers instead of baths, repairing leaky faucets, using the dishwasher or washing machine only when fully loaded, or simply turning the faucet off while brushing your teeth.
Third, we need to reduce waste. We need to recycle whenever possible, but shouldalso try to use this waste effectively. For example, grass clippings and food scraps can be made into compost for plants. The average person produces 4.3 pounds of waste every day, but we can reduce that amount by recycling and reusing.
If we do our part in our own homes, we can help keep the planet from becoming more polluted.

RECYCLING
HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT THE FACT THAT MOST OF WHAT YOU OWN WILL ONE DAY BE THROWN OUT ? THNK ABOUT YOUR CLOTHES, THE TELEVISION , AND THE STOVE. THEY WILL TEAR OR BREAK DOWN. OR YOU MAY JUST WANT TO GET NEW, BETTER THINGS. BUT WHERE DO THINGS GO WHEN YOU THROW THEM OUT ?
THE BAD NEWS IS THAT MOST OF IT GOES TO A LANDFILL. A LANDFILL IS A BIG HOLE IN THE GROUND. IT MAY HAVE A CONCRETE OR PLASTIC LINER. THIS LINER KEEPS CHEMICALS FROM SEEPING INTO THE GROUNDWATER AROUND THE LANDFILL.TRASH TRUCKS FILLED WITH ALL THE THINGS THAT PEOPLE THROW OUT GO TO THE LANDFILL.THEY DUMP THEIR LOADS INTO THE HOLE. BULLDOZERS COVER EVERYTHING WITH SOIL. BUT THERE IS A BETTER WAY. AND SINCE WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF LANDFILL SPACE, MORE PEOPLE ARE DOING IT.
THE BETTER WAY IS RECYCLING . RECYCLING LETS MANY THINGS BE USED AGAIN. GIVE AWAY AN OLD TV OR STOVE. THEY CAN BE FIXED SO THAT SOMEONE ELSE CAN USE THEM . CLOTHES CAN BE SENT TO PEOPLE WHO NEED THEM. MOST GLASS , PAPER, PLASTIC, AND METAL IS RECYCLABE. WHEN PEOPLE RECYCLE THESE THINGS, IT HELPS THE ENVIRMONMENT. IT SAVES SPACE IN LANDFILL.( PEOPLE TAKES UP MORE SPACE IN LANDFILL THAN ANY OTHER THING!)
SOME PEOPLE HAVE RECYCLE BINS. THEY PUT THEIR PAPER,METAL,GLASS, AND PLASTIC INTO THE BIN. A SPECIAL TRUCK TAKES THESE THINGS TO A PROCESSING CENTER. OTHER PEOPLE MUST DRIVE TO A RECYCLING CENTER AND DROP OFF THEIR THINGS.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE RECYCLING CENTER? PAPER IS SHREDDED AND THEN MIXED WITH WATER AND WOOD PULP TO MAKE A NEW PAPER. GLASS,METAL, AND PLASTIC ARE MELTED DOWN. THEN THEY ARE POURED INTO MOLDS TO FORM NEW THINGS. GLASS JARS ARE MELTED DOWN AND BECOME NEW GLASS JARS. RECYCLING LETS THINGS BE USED OVER AND OVER.
