Theo định nghĩa của phép trừ, khi viết :
\(\dfrac{A}{B}-\dfrac{C}{D}-\dfrac{E}{F}\) có nghĩa là \(\dfrac{A}{B}+\dfrac{-C}{D}+\dfrac{-E}{F}\)
