In 1993, stems from the need to staff in the field of economics and international business of Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces during the period of international economic integration, Base II Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh city (hereinafter referred to as base II) was established under Decision No. 1485 / 07.16.1993 of Education day of the Minister of Education and Training.
