Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked,offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.

Huong Pagoda, also known as Perfume Pagoda, is located in Huong Son, Ha Noi. Every year, thousands of pilgrims and tourists visit the Huong Pagoda Festival, which is considered the nation’s longest and most elaborate annual festival. Officially occurring from the 15th to the 20th day of the second lunar month, Huong Pagoda Festival does not centre around traditional games, but rather mainly consists of sightseeing trips to pagodas, temples and caves as well as visiting ceremonies to ask favours from Lord Buddha. King Hung Temple Festival is a traditional festival that is considered the national festival in Vietnam. The festival commemorates the merit of the first King of Vietnam - Hung Kings. It's an occasion for every Vietnamese to remember their origin and express their respect as well as gratitude to the ancestors of Vietnamese people. It is from 8th to 11th of the third lunar month in Phu Tho Province. This festival is impressive because there are many people joining it. The main activities are: offering to Hung Kings, bamboo swings, Lion dances, wrestling and xoan singing performances. I like this festival very much because it is so meaningful and I also like its joyfulness. Joining the pilgrimage to the ancestral land of King Hung Temple these days has become a beautiful tradition of Vietnamese people.
Quê em ở Hải Phòng nơi có lễ hội chọi trâu nổi tiếng. Trong một lần thăm quê vào đúng ngày lễ đó, em được bố mẹ cho đi xem hội. Trên sân lúc này là hai chú trâu đã được đánh số. Khi vừa có hiệu lệnh của trọng tài là lập tức các chú lao vào nhau, cố gắng dùng các miếng võ mình đã được rèn luyện để giành chiến thắng. Các bác chủ trâu và toàn bộ dân làng ở ngoài sới liên tục reo hò cổ vũ rất nhiệt tình. Sau một hồi đấu đá, trâu mang số báo danh 72 đã thua trâu có sô' báo danh 15. Lần lượt những cặp trâu khác được đưa vào chọi. Những trận đấu diễn ra rất sôi nổi hấp dẫn.
