Ballad originated in country and folk music because of slow, slow tunes and was often recited with piano, guitar or violin. Perhaps the ballad should be proud of itself as one of the genres of music that uses the word "best" - no flower, but enough to inspire and make the listener feel good to enjoy. Today, the ballad has been mixed with many other genres including rock ballad, ballad opera, folk ballad but pop ballad is still the most attention.
There are many ballad groups but Take That is one of the myths about Ballad. The group has five members: Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Robbie Williams. Take That was the most famous boy band in the United Kingdom in the first half of the 1990s. With the band's songs such as Babe, Back For Good or the cover of How Deep Is Your Love became impossible melodies. Forget about the fans.

I like all kinds of music, but I can say that my favorite one is Pop – a short term of Popular Music. Most people listen to music, and Pop might be the most common music around us. It originated in the United States and United Kingdom during the mid-1950s, and nowadays it has become a worldwide wave. The characteristics of Pop music include an aim of appealing to a general audience, and it also aims to encourage dancing and uses catchy rhythms. This kind of music has lyrics which are easy to understand and sing along, so I can sing to most of the songs after hearing them thrice. My favorite pop musician is Taylor Swift. She is not simply a singer, but she is also a song writer, dancer, and producer. Most of her songs are about many different shades of love, and this subject is also the most common one in Pop. Recently, Pop culture has strongly developed in Asian countries, and it can be said that Korea is the leader of this wave. Many bands have been born, and they have introduced their national values to the whole world through their music. While Western Pop music focuses mostly on the catchy sound of instruments and singer’s voice, Korean Pop is more on the side of synchronized choreography and main concept along with the catchy tunes. I know many other countries also have good Pop songs, but I just listen to US – UK and Korean ones. My dream is to be able to attend a real Pop concert with famous singers, gorgeous stage with a lot of colorful lights, lively sound and professional dancers. I am saving money for a Pop concert in my hometown in the summer, and I cannot wait to listen to my favorite kind of music in real life.
I am a quite girl, and I tend to like the gentle things including music. In many different genres of music, I think Ballad is the most suitable one for me, and it is also my favorite type. Ballad songs were originally written to accompany dances, so they were composed in alternate lines so a couple could take turn to dance. After a while, it was widely known for being a slow form of love songs. Composers usually uses Ballad to narrate stories – mostly love stories, and it can be considered as a more sentimental version of Pop or Dance music. It is obvious that people always try to make their songs become catchy and easy to listen to, but Ballad has deeper meanings for people to gradually feel and understand. Each song has poetic lyrics with different stories about love. It can be about a happy couple who are madly in love, it can be about a sad person with a broken heart, or it can also be about good memories of the beloved ones. For each content come a long with a melody, and a suitable voice can bring a song to a higher level. My favorite ballad musician is Céline Dion. She is a great singer with an incredible voice, and she became well known all over the world after she performed a legendary original soundtrack My heart will go on of the Titanic movie. Ballad is a great form of music to use in movies, and almost every film has at least one Ballad song to make some scenes become more dramatic. Ballad can cheer me up, but it can also bring my mood down very quickly. When I listen to music, I usually choose certain songs that suit my feelings at that time, and I find Ballad is truly my best friend.
