I am not a good cook and I know very little about cooking and related stuff. Yet, I know how to cook only a few common dishes as I had to cook sometimes during my university life/ college life. One such dish is the boiled rice and mutton curry.
To cook this dish we would need the rice, mutton, some spices, onion, vinegar, mustard, water, oil, salt and some other basic cooking ingredients. I probably learned it from my mother's cooking. As I have seen my mother cook this very dish countless times, the idea and cooking of this dish came to me from there. When I cooked this dish for the first time, I actually recalled what my mother did and I followed the memories I had regarding my mother cooking this dish. So in a sense, I learned it from my mother, though she did not teach me how to cook this dish directly.
To cook this dish, one need to clean and wash the rice and then boil it in the water for about 30 minutes. At the end the cook has to check the water level and if needed s/he would need to drop off the extra water. Thus the boiled rice item would be prepared. To make it tasty, we sometimes use a very small portion of ghee/ tasty butter to give it a good scent and a delicious taste.
For the mutton curry part, the cook must wash the mutton first and then keep it in the water for about 20 minutes. After the mutton is washed neatly, it would have to put in the amalgam of the 3-4 spices, oil and vinegar. After that water would be added to this and the cook has to wait for 20-30 minutes before it would be ready to be served along with the rice.
I would say this is an easy dish to cook. It does not require so many ingredients or so many complex processes for cooking. This is a tasty dish that can be prepared easily and the taste would be great if everything goes alright.
Now I would like to introduce you a Vietnamese dish
. It is " omelette " ...
FIRST : We need some eggs : 4 eggs , some salt , peper , cooking oil
How to do : FIRST : pour oil into the pan and heat it
SECOND : break the eggs into the pan and fly it 2minutes
NEXT : put some salt and peper on the eggs
THEN : turn over the eggs and continue frying in 2 minutes
LASTLY : take the eggs out to the plate and sered with hot rice . This dish is more delecious when eaten in the winter
Foods in Malaysia are the greatest thing to enjoy and people of different countries come here to travel across the country while some of them are to enjoy the foods only.
Fried rice is one of the main rice-made dishes in the country and taken with other side dishes. A wide variety of fried rice is found in Malaysia and mostly they are sold either at a restaurant or at a street shop. The most important factor for the dish is that it requires fewer ingredients than preparing the other heavy dishes. People of all ages prefer the fried rice and its preparation process requires the following things - egg (a single piece), peanut oil, chopped onion (1 piece of medium size), garlic paste (1 tablespoon), ginger paste (1 tablespoon), ground black pepper, sliced fresh chilli, a piece of small carrot, soya sauce (1 tablespoon), cooked rice (as per your need) etc. But sometimes, shrimps are also added to the rice to make it yummier. Besides, the ingredients may also differ based on the taste of the food lovers and they may also add some lettuce leaves with thin slice, fish sauce for delicious smelling.
Fried rice cooking process is a very simple one. At first, an omelette is made with the egg. If the rice is more than two cups, then another egg is added on the ingredient list. When the omelette is done, then it is sliced thinly for later use with the rice. Then oil is heated on a pan and the onions are fried. The pastes are added to the pan with the fried onions and fried until the colour is browned. If someone wants to add shrimps with the rice, it is added in this stage and stirred to make a combo. Then the carrots and other vegetables are added and stirred for few minutes on a medium heat. The soya sauce is also added in this stage and mixed with the remaining ingredients in the pan. Now it is time to add the rice with the ingredients. When the rice is added, it is stirred finely to get mixed with the all other ingredients. When the mixture is done, the egg is added to the rice and thoroughly mixed. Sometimes the mixture is seasoned with salt to increase the taste.
To cook the fried rice, I also have to take some other preparations like pasting the ginger and garlic. Generally, I use a blender for making the ginger and garlic pastes. But it is a bit difficult to ground the black peppers. Slicing the onions is also difficult for me as it brings tears to my eyes during the peeling and slicing process.
Sometimes it is considered as a side dish while at times it is considered as the main dish in some places. But whatever the ingredients are, I think fried rice is very easy to prepare. It takes around 15 minutes to prepare the rice and the taste is great. The cooking process does not need to get low heat for a longer time to boil the ingredients and the ingredients are also available everywhere. Moreover, you do not need to check the cooking process periodically as you can complete it in a single sitting. The other important aspect of fried rice is that it is made with the leftover ingredients at home and thus one does not need to shop for it at all if as the aforesaid ingredients are available at every home. But since there are a wide number of varieties of the fried rice, the preparation process may vary while the cooking method remains the same.
I have a breakfast in the morning, a lunch is in the noon and a dinner is in the evening. In the morning, I often eat bread or rice and drinking fruit drink, sometimes i eat porridge. In the noon, I often eat rice with foods and in the evening, I eat rice with foods, too.
I want to cut down my fat belly, so I eat one rice bowl per meal. I also eat snacks in the afternoon in everyday, I sometimes eat with my friends and we are very happy, I prefer to eat at home than eat out, because I like eating pizza, spagetti, xap xap, bot chien.
I always drinkg milk at before go to bed in the evening. I also eat fruit, because they are delicious and nutritious. I can cook, but i am not good at this
Vietnam is famous with its traditional and delicious dishes. All of them easioly bring to anyone's mouth indeed, but as myself, I enjoy spring rolls best. Spring rolls are lightly fried rice -paper rolls, smaller and crispier than Chinese egg rolls but more flavorful. They are filled with highly seasons morsels of crab, shrimp, chopped vegetables, onion, mushroom, vermicelli and eggs. To prepare them, place the above mentioned filling on a thin rice pancake, roll up then fry. Finally, spring rolls, when fully prepared, are wrapped into some kinds of fresh vegetables, then doused in fish sauce. My mother usually cooks spring rolls for me, especially on important days in year, such as Tet holiday. When I eat them, I feel all of my mother's love that she reserves for me. To me, they're like the most special dish in this world
Do you like fast food? Lots of people complain about it but I think a lot of it's quite tasty – as long as you go to one of the international chains like McDonalds or Kentucky.
I think in today's world, it's difficult to avoid eating in fast food restaurants. They are so convenient and seem to be everywhere. Of course they're not the same as real restaurants. I wonder if they are restaurants. There aren't any waiters.
Anyway, the most important thing to remember about fast food is that it isn't so healthy. People who eat it every day develop health problems. I don't understand why schools serve fast food during lunch time. Schools should encourage students to eat healthily.
