NOT TELLING THE WHOLE TRUTH 

Sometimes when we speak to other people we (1) not tell them the whole truth but tell them (2) we think they want to hear. In some (12) she told people how well she (13) doing, how much she enjoyed her research, anh how she had made (14) of new friend. (15), in other conversations she spoke of (16) to work long hours, of how she had very (17) money and of how she disliked the cheap accommodation she had to (18) in. 

She (19) realized that she had given her parents and relatives a very positive picture (20) her life so (21) they would not worry about her. However, she knew that many of her friends were in dull, boring jobs, and (22) she did not want to make (23) jealous of her, she gave a much (24) negative description. (25) description were true, but she told the different people only what she thought would please them
