Van Cao (full name is Nguyen Van Cao) is a Vietnamese patriotic musician, painter, poet, and soldier. He is the author of the song "Tien quan anthem" - the official national anthem of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and he is also one of the most influential musicians. Considered by many as a model of genius in the history of Vietnamese art, diverse artistic talents with a high synthesis of literature (poetry) - music - painting of Van Cao had early achievements since the age of eighteen and twenty.
