SAFETY ON THE ROADS
Every day many road accidents happen in big cities. Some accidents cause injures but some lead (1) death. Everyone, especially children, must learn how to cross the road. A simple code to remember is "STOP,LOOK AND LISTEN BEFORE YOU CROSS"
Parents and teachers (2) educate children on road safety. Most schools have their own School Road Safety Patrols. The School Road Safety Patrol is a uniformed group. It recruits secondary school(3) as members. Students in senior forms help fellow students cross the road corectly and safety on their way to and from school
When you go out alone, however, what is the best way to (4) the road? First you must find a safe place to cross . These may be subways, footbridges, zebra or green man crossings. Of course, it is safest to be directed(5) a policeman. Then you should stand on the pavement where you can see clearly all the directions, look around for the traffic and listen. If a car, (6) coming, you ought to let it pass. When there is no(7) near, walk straight across the road. Do not run as you may trip!Roads are dangerous. However, if everyone takes care when crossing the road, there will be fewer traffic(8). Our transport system will then become safer and more efficient

Living in the countryside is often the dream of people who live in the city.I myself like living in the country. There are many advantages to live in the country.Firsltly, we are closer to nature and can enjoy more peace and quiet atmotphere. There are fewer cars to less pollution.Secondly, life in the country is slower so people there have time for each other. As a result, they tend to be friendlier and more open.If you need help, people will always have time to help you
On the other hand, there are disadvantages to live in the country.Firstly, there are fewer places of entertainment. One has to travel further to go to the cinema or shopping mall.Secondly, because there are fewer shops and services there are fewer opportunities for employment
In colusion, the country is more suitlable for some people than it is for others. If I had to choose, I would live in the country
Answer the question:
1Do you like living in the countryside?Why/Why not?

10. The room still has many of its (origin) features.
Living in the country is something that people from the city often dream about. However, in reality, it has both its advantages and disadvantages.
There are certainly many advantages to living in the country. First of all, you can enjoy peace and quiet. Moreover, people tend to be friendlier and more open. A further advantage is that there is less traffic, so it is safer for young children.
However, there are certain drawbacks to life outside the city. Firstly , because there are fewer people, you are likely to have fewer friends. In addition, entertainment is difficult to find, particularly in the evening. Furthermore, the fact that there are fewer shops and services means that it is harder to find work. As a result , you may have to travel a long way to work, which can be extremely expensive.
In conclusion, it can be seen that the country is more suitable for some people than others. On the whole , it is often the best place for those who are retired or who have young children. In contrast , young, single people who have a career are better provided for in the city.
