My dream job is to be a fashion designer, because I think it is fun and it is also a way to express the creative side of you. As well as of that I want to be a fashion designer because I want to create beautiful clothes for everyone. I am used to watching fashion programs on TV. At that time, I wish I could design clothes to show on the programs. The skills I would need are communication skills, be good at drawing, be able to work under pressure and be imaginative. I think I will enhance these skills to become a good fashion designer in the future.

Many British people don’t think about clothes very much. They just like to be comfortable. When they go out to enjoy themselves, they can wear almost anything. At theatres, cinemas and concerts you can put on what you like from elegant suits and dresses to jeans and sweaters. Anything goes, as long as you look clean and tidy. But in Britain, as well as the US, men in offices usually wear suits and ties, and women wear dresses of skirts (not trousers). Doctors, lawyers and business people wear quite formal clothes. And in some hotels and restaurants men have to wear ties and women wear smart dresses. In many years, Americans are more relaxed than British people, but they are more careful with their clothes. At home, or on holiday, most Americans wear informal or sporty clothes. But when they go out in the evening, they like to look elegant. In good hotels and restaurants, men have to wear jackets and ties, and women wear pretty clothes and smart hairstyles. It is difficult to say exactly what people wear informal or formal in Britain and the US, because everyone is different. If you are sure what to wear, watch what other people do and then do the same. You’ll feel more relaxed if you don’t look too different from everyone else.

Every body has heard about the Internet, but do you know what an “internet” is? (0)___B____
In fact, intranets make use of the same software programs as the internet to connect computers and people. (1)__________.
If your intranet is working properly, it can link together huge amounts of information which is stored in different places in the company. ____________.
A company intranet can, of course, be used for unimportant information like office memos and canteen menus. (3)___________.
The intranet is a great idea, but the systemonly works if everyone on the intranet is willing to share their information with other people. (4))___________.
Another problem which often occurs is that top managers like to use the intranet to “communicate down” rather than to “communicate across”. (5)__________.
Unfortunately, many departments don’t want to share specialist knowlegde with others. It is a computer network that is private to a company, university, etc, but it is connected to and uses the same software as the Internet. In this way, people can get the information they need, regardless of where it comes from. Most employers prefer to communicate by telephone or in writing. But an intranet should provide important information which people need to make decisions about new products, costing and so on. This means that you do not have to buy a lot of additional programs to set up an intranet service. That is, they use the intranet to give orders, not to exchange information between themselves and others working in the same organization.
