- Đêm khuya, trời mưa, gió lạnh… Anh đội viên đã ngủ được một giấc. Lần đầu thức dậy, thấy Bác vẫn ngồi bên bếp lửa, anh băn khoăn thắc mắc, ngạc nhiên vì trời đã khuya lắm rồi mà Bác vẫn ngồi trầm ngâm bên bếp lửa. Từ ngạc nhiên đến xúc động, anh hiểu rằng Bác vẫn lặng lẽ đốt lửa để sưởi ấm cho chiến sĩ.

→ Anh kín đáo dõi theo diễn biến tâm trạng trên nét mặt và trong từng cử chỉ ân cần của Bác. Trong lòng anh hiện lên biết bao tình cảm yêu thương, kính trọng Người.
