The Temple of Literature is about 10 minutes away from Hoan Kiem Lake . It was constructed in 1070 under Ly Thanh Tong’s dynasty, first to honor Confucius and now a days to celebrate the doctorate and high rank scholar of Viet nam . In 1076 , Emper or Ly Nhan Tong continued the work and built the Imperial Academyas the first university of Viet nam.

The Temple is divided in to five courtyards .The first courtyard is from the main gate to Dai Trung Gate. These condis with Khue VanPavilion .
