A friend of mine phoned me yesterday afternoon and told me that he and his girlfriend are living in Cáceres at the moment. His name is Pete, and she is Carla. Last year, they lived in Sierra de Fuentes, but his new job made him rent a flat in the city a couple of months ago. Pete goes to work on foot every day, and I see him in Lechuga’s St. However, I didn't see him yesterday. I think Pete and Carla are two of my best friends. With no doubt, I will miss them when they leave Extremadura. They are vis​iting Pete’s brother in the States next week, and they ar​e not sure if they will come back or not. I really hope they return because we us​ed to spend an excellent time whenever we met before. Listen! Someone is​ knocking on the door! It must be Pete, since we ar​e having  a drink this afternoon in order to celebrate we are friends. I will not tell him that now I am looking forward to waiting for him and Carla at the airport, because I think he would get angry. Although he loves sincere people.
