Example:
1. Dan is a travel agent. His job is interesting.
2. Gabriela is a police officer. Her job is dangerous.
3. Mario's job does not pay a high salary. He is unhappy.
4. Ismael is a doctor. He is rich.
5. Yuki is a teacher. Her job is difficult.

Sử dụng động từ to be để mô tả một sự vật, sự việc

1. An adjective is a word that gives us a description about something or someone.

("Tính từ là một từ dùng để miêu tả một vật gì đó hoặc một người nào đó.")

2. With an adjective, we frequently use TO BE. The order is:

To be + adjective

("Với tính từ, chúng ta thường sử dụng động từ TO BE. Cấu trúc là:

To be + tính từ")

3. To make a negative sentence we use TO BE + NOT + ADJECTIVE.

("Để tạo câu phủ định, chúng ta sử dụng TO BE + NOT + TÍNH TỪ.")

4. We can also make questions with To Be and an adjective.

• He is happy. (This is an affirmative sentence)

To make a question we change the order of To Be…

Instead of he is… it becomes Is he….?

• Is he happy?

He is happy. (Đây là câu khẳng định)

Hang: Yes, it is. What do you do?

Nga: I’m a chef.

Hang: Really? What’s that like? Is it difficult?

Nga: No, it isn’t. I love cooking. It is an interesting job.
