Golowan festival is one of the biggest traditional festivals in Europe. Golowan means ‘midsummer’ in Cornish, the old language of Cornwall. ‘Midsummer’ is the longest day of the year and people celebrate ‘midsummer’ in many countries. The festival lasts for ten days.
