How are you? Are you busy this Saturday morning ?

Well, there is an Exhibition of Modem Art in Arts Centre now. It is the great exhibition of this year. How about going there this Saturday morning? The exhibition opens at 9:00, so let’s meet at the gate at 8:15 and we will go to the ...( tên cửa hàng, eg : KFC) store nearby to have breakfast and then we come back the centre.

Math (toán)
Among many subjects student learns in school, I like math the most. This is one of the compulsory subjects from primary to high school ad even university. Math teaches learner about numbers and operation. Being good at math brings us several advantages. Doing math exercise improves one’s brain and its brainstorm. Moreover, people learning math can think more logically and make up one mind. There are many subjects we can apply mathematics to solve the problem: economics, engineering and even business. Math is said to originate from ancient Greece and develop completely as today. In VN it’s an increasing number of mathematical genius such as Ngo Bao Chau. Therefore, Vietnamese are very proud of it. In my opinion, every student should be good at math or at least learn it. Since human gain lots of achievement related to math, specifically in modern society.

Trong những môn học ở trường, tôi thích nhất là môn toán. Đây là một trong những môn học bắt buộc từ tiểu học đến trung học và thậm chí là đại học. Toán dạy chúng ta về những con số và phép tính. Giỏi toán mang lại cho chúng ta nhiều lợi thế. Làm toán cải thiện não bộ. Hơn nữa, những người học toán suy nghĩ logic hơn. Theo tôi, mỗi học sinh nên học giỏi toán hoặc ít nhất là biết đến toán bởi vì con người đạt được rất nhiều thành tựu rực rỡ từ toán, cụ thể là trong xã hội hiện đại.

Literature (Văn)
When going to school, there are many subjects; however I still like literature the most. First, literature plays an important role in both education and daily life. Literature is not limit to a subject to be learnt at school. Furthermore, this subject teaches human about several aspects of life. From the very first step, student learns to write, read as well as describe things and people. Moreover, literature teaches one to be a responsible citizen and likeable personality. Literature is more than a subject, it’s an art and it can be applied directly into life such as: journalism, writing skill. People are not born to learn this unique subject, it needs long time to exercise to master. Besides, when learning literature people not only know more works of art but also understand culture, tradition of each country. Literature is the mirror reflecting human and their lifestyle. Studying literature means learning the way to love and live a true life. All in all, with great benefits of literature, it is necessary for each society especially developing countries.

Có rất nhiều môn học ở trường những tôi thích nhất là môn văn. Đầu tiên, văn đóng vai trò quan trọng trong học tập và đời sống. Văn học không chỉ giới hạn trong một môn học ở nhà trường mà rộng hơn nó dạy con người về mọi mặt của cuộc sống. Từ những bước đầu tiên, học sinh học viết, đọc và mô tả đồ vật. 1. Cách nói, trả lời giờ trong tiếng anh thông dụng : giờ trước, phút sau

số giờ + số phút

Ví dụ:
1h58 => one fifty-eight
3h45 => three forty-five

2. Cách nói giờ hơn ( số phút <30 )

Để nói giờ hơn, trong tiếng Anh dùng từ “past“. Công thức của nó như sau:

số phút + past + số giờ

Ví dụ : 7h20 => twenty past seven
10h10 => ten past ten
3h15 => a quarter past three (15 phút = a quarter )

3. Cách nói giờ kém ( số giờ >30 )

Đối với giờ kém chúng ta dùng từ “to“. Công thức của nó như sau:

số phút + to + số giờ

Ví dụ:

8h40 => twenty to nine
1h55 => five to two
11h45 => a quarter to twelve (15 phút = a quarter )

1. Cách đọc, nói trả lời giờ trong tiếng Anh thông dụng: giờ trước, phút sau:

Với các trả lời này bạn chỉ việc nói giờ trước phút sau theo số thứ tự đơn giản.

Với những phút < 10 các bạn nhớ đọc thêm số 0 trước số đó như ví dụ trên 05 đọc là O-five chứ không nên đọc five không

2. Cách nói giờ hơn trong tiếng Anh: dùng khi số phút nhỏ hơn < 30

3. Cách nói giờ kém trong tiếng Anh: Khi số phút lớn hơn > 30

Tuy nhiên các bạn phải để ý khi nói giờ kém thì phải + 1 số giờ hiện tại lên và số phút sẽ lấy 60 - số phút hiện tại

4. Một số trường hợp nói giờ đặc biệt khác

Khi số phút là 15 phút thì thay vì nói fifteen chúng ta sẽ sử dụng: a quarter past

7:15 - a quarter past seven --> 7 giờ 15 phút
12:45 - a quarter to one --> 13 giờ kém 15 phút


Khi số phút là 30 phút thì thay vì nói three-thirty chúng ta sẽ sử dụng: half past
Ví dụ: 3:30 - half past three

Note: Trong trường hợp này chúng ta sẽ không sử dụng half to mà chỉ dùng half past


Khi giờ hiện tại là tròn không có số phút thì chúng ta sẽ sử dụng: O'clock

Khi thời gian là 12 giờ chúng ta có thể sử dụng: twelve o'clock, midday, noon midnight tùy vào thời điểm.
Nếu sử dụng hệ giờ 12 giờ chúng ta sẽ phân biệt buổi sáng và chiều thông qua từ am: Buổi sáng, pm: buổi chiều

Ngoài ra cũng có một số nguyên tắc khác trong việc nói giờ tuy nhiên nó không phổ biến

Additionally, a person, whom I met accidentally on the morning walk yesterday, told me that the story of this movie is superb. Therefore, we should see this picture.
Secondly, I have booked the tow tickets of the morning show of this movie in the Surya Cinema, which is 3 kilometers away from my residence. Furthermore, it is a beautiful theater and he has a high definition screen. For travelling to this picture hall, fortunately, my father’s motor bike is free that day. So, I have completed all the arrangements to see this film.
