The traditional game festival
I took part in a traditional games festival in my school in HCM City (chỗ này có thể thay thế được). The festival lasted for one day. There were three activities in this festival: water-fetching by hand, tug of war and mandarin square capturing. In the water-fatching by hand contest, three people from each team had to get the water by hand and pour the water into the bottle. In tug of war, ten people from each team have to pull a rope in the opposite direction from the other team. In mandarin square capturing, five people from each team placed one big stone in each of the rice field squares. The first player took up all the pieces of any rice field square on his/her side of the board and distributed one piece per square starting at the next square in either direction. When all five pieces are distributed, the player would repeat again and another player do the same too.The game ended when all the pieces are captured. After the three contests my group won the second prize. The festival was wonderful.

On the occasion, I attended a local festival. It is the Temple Festival. There are many interesting activities such as: balloon piercing, monkey bridge, or dance festival. The most interesting thing is the balloon piercing, 120 coins, ten darts, players in turn use the darts in the balloons too explosive it, if from seven or more will get a big teddy bear thunder. We all know: a festival is a cultural event organized communally. There are a lot of festivals all over the world, one of them is Halloween. "Halloween" is the short form of "All Hallows' Evening", it's held in the last day of October, from the afternoon till 12 p.m. In a Halloween festival, there are many activities, such as: trick-or-treat, disguising as a zombie, carving a pumpkin, watching films or telling horror stories. The most special activity is trick-or-treat. In this activity, the children will come and knock their neighbors' doors in order to get sweet candies. When the children do so, they have to ask the house's owner: "Trick or treat?" because it is Halloween's longstanding culture. Halloween is really interesting, the people who take part in this festival feel very happy and excited because of the jokes. Halloween is such an awesome festival.

Dalat Flower Festival is a unique festival event held in Dalat city, Lam Dong province, Vietnam. Over many times of organizations, Dalat Flower Festival gradually demonstrated its role as one of the most unique and dramatic Vietnam festivals. The Flower Festival was first held on 10 – 18 December 2005 impressed with performances of more than 160 kinds of dazzling flower floats, lavish performing art programs and splendid fireworks display. The first festival got unexpected success when attracting more than 80,000 domestic and foreign visitors.

The second Dalat Flower Festival 2007 was held with the theme “Integration and promotion of Dalat flowers”. Success of this festival is enrolling 8 new records in the Vietnam record book - Vietkings.

Next, on the occasion of Thang Long – Hanoi 1000th anniversary, 3rd Dalat Flower Festival was held from 01 – 04 January 2010. The colorful space, shimmering and brilliant flower paths attracted any demanding visitors. Also, in this occasion, Dalat has officially welcomed the decision of Prime Minister on recognizing Dalat as the first city of flower festival in Vietnam.

The 4th Festival 2012 was held with the theme “Dalat – the City of Flower”. The festival impressed by showcasing programs, parades, flower market, flower Culinary Festival, and scientific conferences...

The 5th Dalat Flower Festival 2014 introduced visitors the most renowned flowers of the cold country. “Night of converging Dalat Flower” would be a major rendezvous with performances of flower fashion, flower carnival, street parade, and flowery bicycles, exhibition of unique temperate flower species of Dalat... This is also the 120th anniversary celebration of the founding of Dalat city.

Dalat Flower Festival will be an opportunity for flower growers to meet and interact with flower lovers, flower businesses and flower researches; simultaneously, attract investment for economic and social development, protect environmental landscapes, and promote national cultural identity, elegance, gentleness and hospitality of Dalat people.

Mid-Autumn Festival is under the full moon day of the lunar calendar every year in August, over 4,000 years ago. This is the day children’s festival, also known as the “Festival looks Moon”. Children are expected Tet is because adults are often donated toys, usually light. His star, mask, light pull troops … and pies, cakes plastic. Besides the Tet Holiday, Mid-Autumn festival is one of the most famous festivals and it is a traditional celebration for Vietnamese children.

In Vietnam, Moon cakes are the specific cakes and are only on this festival. Moon cakes, which are made from flavor, dried fruit, meat, egg, pumpkin’s seed, peanut, are so sweet and good tasting. Moon cakes symbolize Luck, Happiness, Health and Wealth on the Mid-Autumn day.

Mid-Autumn celebration is also an opportunity for members of the family to get together and share everything in their year. The young generation express their gratitude to the old generation. The parents show their love for their children. For others, because the traditional time to have this festival is usually after harvesting the crops, it is as the congratulation for the full harvest.

Apart from moon cakes and lanterns, the other most visible tradition related to Mid-Autumn festival is the lion dance. On the nights leading up to the holiday, groups of children parade through the streets – some of the children maintain a martial beat on drums, while others control an extravagantly decorated ‘lion’ crafted from molds and paper.

The children approach homes and businesses and ask the owners for their permission to perform. If they agree, the children put on a show that is believed to bring a blessing of luck and fortune. Afterwards the host gives the children lucky money as a sign of gratitude.
