My house is the place I love the best in my life. It is a small house on a 150 meters weighty land. It is behind another one, so the wide of the road to my house is very narrow about 1 meter. But it is very lovely to me. It has a living room, a dining room, a kitchen room, a bathroom, two bed room, and a store room. Additionally, it also has a very beautiful garden. In the living room, there is a shelf for a television, VCD Driver, and two speakers in the Western next to a table with two armchairs and one sofa. This is the place my family watch Television and talk together every evening as well as to talk to visitors. The dining room has a glass table with 6 armchairs for 5 members of the family to have meals. Besides, it also has a glass cupboard to store whatever my grandparents give my parents. So, The cupboard is very valuable and meaningful for my family.Maybe, the kitchen room is the most favourite place for me because she like cooking very much. She is very happy when someone feels good tasting. I love all dishes she makes. What is delicious! My parents use one bed room and the other for my younger sister and me.The bathroom and toilet is the end of my house. It is between the kitchen room and the garden. The garden is placed I love the best because it has many kinds of flowers with many beautiful colors. That makes me forget all the problems I meet. When I am sad I often go to this place to see flowers and green leaves. That is a very peaceful place. To summarize, my house is the most important and meaningful place for me. That is the place I was born and grow with all sadness and happiness I have.I love it.

Obon is one of the most important Japanese traditions. People believe that their ancestors` spirits come back to their homes to be reunited with their family during Obon and pray for the spirits. For the reason, Obon is an important family gathering time, and many people return to their hometowns. Obon was originally celebrated around the 15th day of the seventh month in the lunar calendar. Obon periods are nowadays different in various regions of Japan. In most regions, Obon is celebrated around August 15, and it typically begins 13th and ends 16th of August. In some areas in Tokyo, Obon is celebrated around July 15, and it is still celebrated on the 15th day of the seventh month in the lunar calendar in many areas in Okinawa. Japanese people clean their houses and place a variety of food offerings such as vegetables and fruits to the spirits of ancestors in front of a butsudan (Buddhist altar). Chochin lanterns and arrangements of flower are usually placed by the butsudan.

In Vietnam, there are many meaningful and long-standing customs. As a Vietnamese citizen, I am extremely proud of our custom called "asking for handwriting", which is one of Vietnamese nice cultural traits and worthy to be adopted by other countries. Firstly, the custom shows desires or particular concepts and personal identities of people who want pictures of handwriting in the first days of a lunar new year. No difference between the rich and the poor, the old and the young, the local and the foreign is made in this customs. For example, the middle-aged asks for the handwriting of "Soul" or "Patience", the youth needs "Fame", "Love", "Loyalty", "Faithfulness" or "Will". A present for parents is "Peace" or "Safeness", one for the old is "Longevity". In addition, these words are often written in papers of red, pink or yellow colors, which symbolize luck. Secondly, the custom dignifies Vietnamese fondness of learning. The scholars, who give pictures of handwriting, always explain the far-reaching significance of each word written and the inquirers largely seem excited about this. Besides, many scholars are very young. Despite this, a lot of parents choose them as writers because they hope their children can learn from the youth's studiousness. In conclusion, the sincerity of both inquirers and givers of handwriting helps this custom be preserved with spiritual senses. Our foreign friends might apply it to their countries so as to remind them to love their mother languages and promote national fondness of learning.

Customs and traditions are very important in my opinion. Like other families, we have our own customs and traditions. First of all, there is a tradition in my family of having to clean the house before the 30th of Tet. Everyone is assigned easy work, some clean the house, sweep the cobwebs, others decorate the house, pack the banh chung, .... We have been following this tradition for 3 generations. Second, we have the custom of Sunday together. We often go back to our hometown to visit our grandparents and neighbors there. That custom makes us closer. We all like our customs and traditions because they give our family a sense of belonging.
